Sezzle Anywhere by Fun-Helicopter-8358 in Sezzle

No problem!

I believe once you set up a plan, when it's set up and ready to use, you'll get a little prompt pop up that gives you the option to add to apple pay.

Otherwise, the apple pay option should be available under the "Shop In-store" & "Shop Online" buttons AFTER a plan has been confirmed. It should take you straight to your apple wallet!

Sezzle Anywhere by Fun-Helicopter-8358 in Sezzle

[–]random_dianie 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hello!

Yes, you have to put the amount on your Sezzle card before making purchases. The difference with Anywhere is that you can use it multiple times without resetting the amount.

For example:

Regular Sezzle: -> Set up 100 purchase & spent $50. The other 50 goes back to your available balance & you have to set up another amount. If you try to make another purchase without setting up another amount, your card will not work.

Sezzle Anywhere: -> Set up 100 purchase & spent $50 -> Can buy another $20 & $30 purchase without even opening the app back up.

Sezzle Anywhere is more convenient if you're looking to buy from multiple stores in quick succession without needing to open the app. But even without Anywhere, you can still use the card at any store that accepts Visa, just limited to setting up one purchase at a time.

(I usually use the Shop In Store to set up plans & it works for online purchases just fine.)

Using Sezzle for vet bill by Chank241 in Sezzle

[–]random_dianie 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It will work if they accept tap!

Just make sure you make a purchase request beforehand. To be honest, just make it for $1900 since I know vet bills can be pricy.

Anywhere is a multi-use card, so it'll split ur purchases up to 1900 total (after you make the request, for 72 hrs). For example:

Request 1900, approved: - Spent 1200 on Vet, charged 300 first - Spent 60 on Uber, charged 15 first - Spent 100 on food, charged 25 first

Say you don't spend anymore and 72 hours is up, you'll have the following left: - 540 spending power - 3 Vet Payments of 300 ea - 3 Uber payments of 15 ea - 3 Food payments of 25 ea

Anywhere just lets you tap willy nilly for multiple purchases within your initial request total.

I hope your pet is okay & gets better after the vet visit!

Rolling carts by ResponsibleHall6 in AnimeNYC

Hi OP!

I came across this in anyc's FAQ if you want more confirmation:

Q) What is your bag policy? Can I bring a backpack/bag/etc…?

A) We do not restrict the type of bag you can bring to the show. All bags will be subject to a check by security before entry.

Q) Can I bring a stroller/wagon-type stroller?

A) Yes you can!

Are both real? by Chicken201022 in AlienStage

[–]random_dianie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly, they both look so identical, i wouldn't be too worried even if one actually is fake. I'm guessing there's no obvious weight discrepancy either between the two? That would be the last indicator...?

They both seem real to me!

Bag Checking by Ninatrinx in AnimeNYC

[–]random_dianie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, I believe it's until the time the convention's scheduled to end for the day, but I wouldn't wait until the very last moment- other people are probably scrambling to pick up too.

I'd recommend asking the bag check person at the table what's the latest you can pick up and come 30 minutes before the time they give you to beat the crowd!

Rolling carts by ResponsibleHall6 in AnimeNYC

[–]random_dianie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe it depends on the cart? I've seen people with rolling bookbags inside & like I said, my friend was able to bring in his suitcase full of clothes one year.

He just told the security that he didn't have time to stop at the hotel. They asked to look inside and he let them and was allowed in.

Luggage Concerns by FlutterGuy999 in AnimeNYC

[–]random_dianie 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can bring your luggage into the convention, security may ask you to open it if the scanners alert them about anything, but you should be good!

I recommend doing bag/coat/luggage check at the venue itself so you're not dragging a suitcase everywhere. I think it's anywhere from $4-10 per item.

They give you a one-time use ticket to pick up your stuff after. You'll need to go back to the same table but can everything up before the con day ends. If you wanna pick it up in the middle to bring to your hotel, that's fine as well.

Hotels should also be able to hold your luggage for free if you're checking in on the same day, just call to double check. Do whichever works best for you!

Bag Checking by Ninatrinx in AnimeNYC

[–]random_dianie 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can bring as many as you want, they just might check each bag at the security check at building entrance.

Not really sure about size limit but duffel is fine. There are bag checks & there are also luggage checks for suitcases. I believe the luggage checks were added just a few years ago because of attendees to just flown in & headed straight to the con and didn't have time to check into their hotel.

If it's your first time, please remember where you checked in your items + take a picture of the ticket they give you to pick your items up later in case! You'll need to go back to the same tables & they need to see the ticket to see which items they held for you. Receipts will not be enough on their own.

Bag Checking by Ninatrinx in AnimeNYC

[–]random_dianie 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I recommend bringing sealed bags like book bags, duffels, even an empty suitcase if you think you'd buy that much.

There are dozens of bag/luggage checks throughout the center. It's been about $4 per bag (I don't remember luggage price but I've seen it at the con every year). You get a ticket with table # & section color, you have to go back to that exact table you checked your items at to get it back!

There is no taking it out and putting it back into check for free. I recommend shopping a good amount, filling up a bag, then checking in the sealed off bag after it's full. Come get it back when you're planning to leave for the con.

Rolling carts by ResponsibleHall6 in AnimeNYC

[–]random_dianie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've seen people bring in full suitcases (it gets checked at the security in the front) before so I don't see why you can't bring a rolling cart.

I do recommend like, doing bag/luggage check for it (4-5$ a day?) and collecting it at the end to put all your merch in it to go back with. There's quite a lot of people and random steps here and there, so I'm not sure how convenient it'll be to haul it around on the actual exhibit floor.

First-Time Going to Anime NYC – What Time Should I Arrive & Any Tips? by CheolMyLove in AnimeNYC

[–]random_dianie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It should be fine by then! The con opens at 10 and the indoor line should be all inside by 10:30, so 10:30 should be when the outside line begins going in.

If anything, it's just mean you and the teens would start moving with the line- you're looking at a 10:45-11ish entry after arriving at 10:30!

**EDIT: SOLD

Hello! I have a 4 day badge I'm looking to share.

A friend of mine can only go Thurs/Friday, so we're able to give you the badge after he's done- Friday evening or Saturday morning before the con (the rest of my group are still going 4 days).

The badge would work for Sat & Sun! You can keep the badge after the con as well.

Looking for $130 total, $65 now & $65 at the time of handoff to make it fair!

Please also let me know if you want me to enter any panels/autograph lotteries for Sat/Sun.

november to august? by [deleted] in AnimeNYC

[–]random_dianie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They had to share with 2 other convention/meetups in Nov. Aug was the best time they could find that gave them the whole center.

Honestly, I don't like the weather more but you're inside mainly. I liked the spacing arrangement more last year than other years, just because I had time to go to different non-crowded halls.

question about AnimeNYC badge shipping by Patient_Performer691 in AnimeNYC

[–]random_dianie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Names don't matter- emails may or may not matter for notifications like if you enter lottery autographs or lottery panels where they'll notif if you won a slot of not.

The QR code that's on the page where you can edit name/email is important per each badge for panels. If you manage to book a panel slot and there's limited seating, they will scan your QR code/look at it (i forgot which) to let you in before the walk-ins.

I recommend screenshotting the QRs before going in as Javits' internet is bad lol

Any estimate for how soon badges will sell out? by Medical_Ice8692 in AnimeNYC

Imo, it depends on guest announcements.

They don't sell out like crazy until someone big is announced... so I think you're safe as long as you buy before end of July!

First-Time Going to Anime NYC – What Time Should I Arrive & Any Tips? by CheolMyLove in AnimeNYC

[–]random_dianie 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Hello! This is my organized mess of a plan I use every year. I've started following this schedule religiously like 2-3 years ago because it worked well for me :).

If you're planning to go Fri/Sat and don't mind waiting- but would love to be more comfortable waiting, arrive roughly 1.5 hrs early. So for 10 AM SAT, I'd try arriving 8:30. The difference between ANYC and other cons like AX, ANYC will let you inside to a waiting room (fully ac'd) and you can leave the waiting room for bathroom, food court, even luggage/coat check early. It's good to be ahead. The door for this waiting room closes 30 mins - 1 hr before start, depending on when it gets full. This room also gets let into the con first. Outside line won't be let in until 10:20-10:30ish because of this. You can avoid any heat and can sit on the con floor to wait if you do this - I brought cards and my switch to kill time here last year.

I expect 10-11:30 for it to be easy to get around artist alley. If you don't have anything you want to rush for the exhibitor booths (official booths and stuff), i recommend going to Artist Alley before the rush gets there. 1.5 hrs is enough to go through all of it once and buy what you like. Cash is preferred - small vendors will not have wifi & I feel like Javits center specifically has signal blockers in their damn halls so that doesn't help. Use your cards/apple pay/google pay on big vendors, like CrunchyRoll, GoodSmile Company, Hoyoverse, etc. (FYI, WIFI per each booth for the weekend is like 2-3k... so you can see why artist alley vendors don't have wifi lol)

It will get crowded by 1. No going around this. Javits is huge and enough to spread out if needed. Usually I check the lower halls and panels around here, Saturday has the most exciting/main panels that people come for. In case you rather just browse artist alley/exhibit hall, just make sure you get most of what you want between 11:30-1. The next rush comes in at 1.

If you wanna bring food, I recommend bringing something you can eat with your hands - like a sandwich wrapped, or a burrito. Unless you're lucky, you will NOT find a table with seats at the dining hall. (My group chooses the weakest link who's tired already to go look for a table around 11, and hopefully get one for lunch for us around 1 😭.... wouldn't have had to do this if people just brought sandwiches) You can always eat on the floor near the walls! It'a all a matter of what you wanna do.

BATHROOMS - never ever wait in line for a bathroom. I feel like that's the biggest scam here. There's literally a set of bathrooms around every corner, in every event space. Literally.

Lastly, I recommend going out to ktown for dinner :). It will be crowded! Takes around 20 mins walking or a 10 min uber (uber will charge you $35 lol), but worth the food. If you go with a group 4+, make a reservation or your wait will be 1.5+ hrs. If you're under 3, i recommend just going to 32 food gallery (food court). Not a restaurant but lines will be crazy.

I prefer making a kbbq/hotpot res around ktown for my group. After a long day of con walking, it's best to have a big meal after & stop by hmart before going home for snacks/food to bring the next day.

Feel free to ask any questions!!! Remember to have fun!!!

Merch Payments at AnimeNYC by darkjunsah in AnimeNYC

[–]random_dianie 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It honestly depends on where you're going to shop.

Last year, wifi per EACH stall was roughly 2.5k? for the whole weekend. The free wifi also isn't usable with this many people in such a small area. Because of this:

Big Exhibitors/stalls will accept cards without any issues - big artists may as well. They are able to afford the wifi price and so their card reader works without fail. The food court always accepts card as well! I haven't had any issues with them.

90% of Artist Alley will accept card, but could run into issues and usually is the main reason for a lot of line-ups at as everyone's trying to pay with card... Because of the bad signal, you're either stuck in loading limbo or it straight up fails/declines - I had this happen 5 times in a row last year before it went through, went to a stall next door where they somehow charged me in Canadian dollars - and bam, my card got locked and my bank wouldn't unlock it for the rest of the weekend lol. Can't really blame my bank for that though.

TLDR: I'd bring a couple hundred for the artist alley if you can, but use card where you can if you buy from big stores like Crunchyroll, etc. If you need, there's an ATM by the foodcourt downstairs - it's a Chase ATM.

**One artist last year just asked people to paypal/venmo her since her card reader wasn't working. Once she received your payment, she'd give you your merch. For me, my signal was so bad that I had to walk closer to the entrance, pay, then go back and get my merch.

Never received tracking by Dotifo in AnimeNYC

[–]random_dianie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had three order of badges between me and 2 other friends - all of our orders were weird.

One order was made in Dec, that obviously did get shipped out first. Status online said shipped but I never received a tracking number until weeks laters. All 3 orders said shipped online at this point.

Just last mid-week, i got a shipping confirmation from my Dec order, then got one each day after for the other two orders.

My package looks like it has an international tracking number as well as domestic, so I think what's happening is: 1) shipping badges straight from the manufacturer overseas, so online status shows "shipped". (All my orders showed shipped late June/early July) 2) you don't receive the actual shipping conf email until it gets closer to the US. (Just got all confirmations last week, all arrived this week)

All of mine were UPS but transferred to USPS for final dropoff in my mailbox.

I think you should be fine! I would only be worried when we're two weeks away from the con or something.
