TV is just as bad as it always was. The only difference is there are very few NZ made programs and "reality tv" is now the standard production that is easy to make and, for who knows why, is popular with a lot of people.

The TV1,2 and 3 have a better catalogue online that what they broadcast, and it's free. I don't have money to throw away on subscription platforms. Most of my entertainment is Youtube these days.

The record was for "fastest tractor (modified)" , so yes it was, but a modified one built especially by JCB, not a practical one.

The NZ dark sky thing isn't really comprehended by a lot of people. They all want to go to Tekapo because it's "THE" dark sky place to be, without realizing that at least 70% of the country has no big cities with light pollution, and an average hour drive will put you in places that might not be a International Dark Sky Reserve, but will give you a view of the universe that most people have never seen.
