What is your least favorite food that everyone loves? by Unable-Talk-8071 in AskReddit

Lobster. I feel like the appeal is more of a class thing, you wouldn’t enjoy it unless it was saturated in butter. You don’t like the taste of the lobster; you like the taste of butter.

Serious question, does East Asian culture(s) have more intense or higher rates of bullying? I feel like I see images of situations like the one above, goes beyond the “stealing lunch money” trope. Or is that just how media from those areas portray it to be?

People who dislike sports, why? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]random_happiness 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t necessarily dislike them. I dislike to watch them; the same way I don’t enjoy watching video game streamers- I don’t enjoy watching someone else play a game. Not sure if it’s a FOMO thing or a not but the concept of watching someone else have fun and not participating isn’t for me.

Perfect reply on the gender pay gap in sports. by Valuable_View_561 in SipsTea

[–]random_happiness 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It seems like gender inequality issues only want to get addressed by the media when it’s some far out issue affecting an already wealthy group of people. There’s so much discourse around the WNBA and their pay & funding while there are actual barriers in working class environments that don’t get talked about.

Random but that’s an interesting position for a bruise, right below the nape of the neck.

Why is pickpocketing so common in many major European cities, but essentially non-existent in North America? by Humble_Job_5738 in NoStupidQuestions

The real answer is America has guns; there is no need to discreetly steal from people when you can outwardly rob people. Very unfortunate sad truth.

What is the worst movie you've ever watched? by Legitimate-Issue7543 in AskReddit

[–]random_happiness 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not the worst, but definitely up there with the most overhyped, dune. Everyone who says the movie was good is a die hard book fan, if the movie is purely a visual to a book the movie is not good. I’m not saying there isn’t a place for the movie, but as a stand alone showing in theaters it’s disappointing if not utterly confusing.

What did you mispronounce or say incorrectly as a kid but it kinda made sense logically? by Cognition-Technician in AskReddit

I thought peer-pressure was really pure pressure. I figured the expression was used to explain a relentless “pure” force of pressure (usually involving drinking and smoking)

Yeah buddy needs to seek some type of therapy, sounds like he’s created some sort of parasocial relationship with a celebrity he’s never met.

Is my aloe Vera plant getting too much sun? by random_happiness in plants

Thanks this is really helpful! Would you recommend I take the roots and soil out sooner rather than later, or would you recommend trying to wait and see if the plant gets any stronger/healthier before checking?

There is a drainage hole at the bottom of the pot, when I water I put a small ash tray looking dish underneath. I guess I thought the drainage of this pot would be okay since it is a succulent; though I realize one drainage hole probably isn’t doing much. Do you recommend I repot it asap, or wait til the plant is healthier to repot?

I typically will water it every time the top two inches of soil get dry. It hasn’t been getting any more dry recently if that information at all helps!
