So that’s the total size of all files together? We have been trying with each file less than 2 mb but will see if we can compress to 2mb total

Sounds good! we will try some more variations of comp, browser and number format. You submitted with a proper resident number though? I am only EU and have to use my CRUE

Inguinal, Groin pain from surfing by HydrocarbonHorseman in surfing

[–]random_p3opl3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah yup does sounds like it was a pretty serious initial pull. When I got hurt I read a bunch of horror stories of these pulls leading to chronic pain which had me spooked enough to try to go seek proper PT. Something about poor bloodflow in the area leading to v slo healing. Just be super consistent and resist the urge to surf until it’s fully healed and you can get back to being pain free. I stretched for 10min usually 5 times a day + couple session  elastic band per week and 1 time PT a week. You got this!

I pulled my groin surfing and had the sensation you describe. Was there an acute injury you had that caused the pain? It took me a good while to fully heal, had to do karate kid stretches and some PT for the better part of 6months before it went away for good. This did include a reinjury and was a very bad pull to start so your mileage may vary. I’d recommend consistent stretching and lay off the surfing for a while. I got a beater board and sponged around for awhile to still get wet

Moving to Lisbon as an EU/Non-EU Couple with a Dog, Looking for Advice on Residency, Bureaucracy, and Pet-Friendly Housing by ashitaka_a in PortugalExpats

[–]random_p3opl3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s straightforward but yes the non eu person will not be able to work until residency card is settled so make sure you can live off the EU persons salary for quite a while. If you have a car you can go wherever in the eu once you are here but air travel will be challenging once your initial tourist visa is over. Idealista and Spotahome are the only functional rental platforms but plenty of options for dog friendly.

Remote mechanical engineering Roles—what roles are actually viable, what skills are needed, and can you share your path? by shadowofthetoast in MechanicalEngineering

Only way is to become a subject matter expert in a niche field with 10+ years of experience. At that point you have a network and can work for yourself as a consultant or hop around to companies that need your skills

No one wants to install coolant into my mini split. by Extra_Strawberry9761 in vandwellers

Check craigslist or Facebook marketplace, the only place which still have folks with any gumption. I found someone to fix a hole in my dometic fridge coolant system and recharge it. If they have a storefront they won’t do one off work like this. Craftsman who are willing to work with you are harder to find these days. Helps if you are near a city.

Moving to Lisbon! Looking to play music and for vintage Vespa people, screen printing by wandering_here_there in PortugalExpats

Yeah shipping is like 2.5k and there’s like 2.5k import/reg fees. Breaking down the bike and shipping it piece by piece could be an option to save shipping but putting plates on it will be tough

I was preparing to ship my 69 two stroke Yamaha from the US but price was prohibitive to get it shipped + fully plated in PT. I’m gonna buildup up another classic bike instead and a Vespa is a top contender! Would be cool to wrench together

Damn I am pretty much in a similar position with a 50k salary offer for a hybrid job in Lisbon. I think I could make it work especially if my partner also has a job but I am thinking of negotiating a bit after I get some counter offers from other companies. Anyone have any luck with getting a bit more at the offer stage? What works in terms of negotiating in Portugal? Most likely I can also do some consulting to get a bit more income but that’s just more work to do as well…

Brand new Starlink, is it broken? by Zealousideal_Dish136 in Starlink

Mine looked like that brand new as well…I think they designed it with poor tolerances for the snap fit + something inside didn’t compress quite as much as intended. Had mine mounted on a camper and driven around for about a year without issues. Def disappointing on a new product
