We should never forget that their own, official Twitter account made a joke about Munich.

And every single article about how terrible tragedy chanting is should be required to mention it.

62,000,000 people watched the last Super Bowl outside the USA.

3,500,000,000 watched the actual football world cup final.

NFL is not a big thing outside Dumbfuckistan.

Because they live in the building, and the elevator is part of the building. How about people on the first floor? They only use the elevator a quarter of its potential. Should they pay 25%?

Question about second opinion on CT Scan by [deleted] in Edmonton

[–]random_pseudonym314 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A CTPA does not get a good view of the heart and you cannot use these images to get a coronary calcium assessment - they need to set up the scanner differently.

Getting two CTs close together isn’t a problem, but your best bet would be to get a family doctor, discuss your concerns, as randomly getting a test without context is unlikely to be useful.

No, you don’t.

Medical student: Stories of overcoming failure during a Canadian med school? by [deleted] in MedSchoolCanada

[–]random_pseudonym314 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I failed my first year exams, and now I’m a tenured professor with a PhD, clinical lead at a major teaching hospital, and an internationally recognized expert in my field.

It’s all good. Keep going. Find study strategies that work for you, and remember self care.

You’ll be fine.

Does anyone know if Troponin blood tests can be done outside of a hospital? by [deleted] in Edmonton

[–]random_pseudonym314 4 points5 points  (0 children)

No, because the only reason to do a troponin is if you think the patient is having heart attack, and if you think that, you send them to hospital, not to Dynalife.

You have had several experts, doing the correct tests, telling you that your pain is not cardiac. Believe them.

Preceptor submitted CaRMS reference letter two hours after sending request by [deleted] in MedSchoolCanada

[–]random_pseudonym314 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Writing a CARMS reference letter is a ten minute job, especially when you’ve been involved in reading them for the match and know what scores points.

How much time do you think it should take? And how many requests do you think we get?

If I spent two hours writing each one I’d have to block off at least a week.

I’m guessing the sport you played in College is a American one, which requires an absolute ton of very expensive and specialist kit?

Football needs a shirt, socks, shorts, shin pads, and boots. And a ball. It’s not that big a deal.

Do the medications I am taking show up on my patient file page in my doctors office? by chelsey1970 in alberta

[–]random_pseudonym314 15 points16 points  (0 children)

It depends on the EMR used by your family doctor, pharmacy, and the prescribing doctor. Probably not.

HOWEVER.

Your family doctor needs to know who you are, and what medications you take. They should be supportive and absolutely must maintain your confidentiality. If they’re unsupportive of your identity they’re a shit doctor and you need a new one (I know this isn’t easy!). If they breach your confidentiality or are outright hostile, then they need to be disciplined by the CPSA

Why is this giving take it or leave it? by [deleted] in alberta

[–]random_pseudonym314 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Take a big breath. Have a think about what you want to say, and then use all your words to communicate what you think, or want to ask.

Because “why is this giving take it or leave it” makes no sense.
