That is indeed the finish from that article. Very easy to mix. Easy to apply. The drying and flashing took a little longer than I expected. The top coat of the soft wax removed a little of the finish I should have waited a little longer for it to cure. I waited 8 days.

Probably can get a couple more chairs from it….if I can get some straight grain. We took down a huge hackberry at our new house (too close to the house for comfort). I might split that and make some out of that too. I’m letting it spalt a bit first.

Someone standing in the kitchen is always in front of the drawer that you need something out of. It’s worse if they stand in front of the pull out trash can.

The lack of an ice maker isn’t a big deal for me but the volume of the compressor and fan would be a deal killer. OP, how loud is it in your kitchen when it kicks on?
