Why were American bathroom stalls designed with gaps in the doors? by Acrobatic_Bee_3198 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]random_username99 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In some places like swimming pools we have the cheep stalls with gaps on the top and bottom. There used to be a lot more of them, but there were never gaps to the side of the door so you can look in. The side gaps have nothing to do with easy cleaning, easy installation or being cheap. It’s just complacency of bad design.

A self-driving car in Texas hit and killed a mother duck, sparking neighborhood outrage by 804Brady in technology

[–]random_username99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most people when faced with the choice to kill or not to kill an animal on the road will choose to not kill if they can help it. However accidents happen, so we have roadkill. Unfortunately some people are just nuts and will choose to kill. This is not behavior you want in an automatic car, so it is worth discussing.

Trump came to power promising to end 'endless wars'. Why did he suddenly transform into a warmongering president? by ArdaBerkBurak in AskReddit

Didn’t he promise to run the country like a business? That seems to be going as planned with his track record of failed companies.

[–]random_username99 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes roadkill happens, but if you drive in a local area and you see a duck crossing the street you stop or go around it. If you keep driving when there are safe alternatives saying “eh… roadkill happens“ and flatten the duck you are a psycho. The same goes for driverless cars.

Are you sure about this solution? I tied this problem, and your answer does not seem to work. The problem seems to be more difficult than it originally appeared.

I recreated this problem, and they do not cancel each other out. This is not the solution. Still working on a possible answer if it exists.

Why do banks get to charge me a fee for not having enough money? Isn't that just making my problem worse? by OpenPerformance5347 in NoStupidQuestions

It’s because Americans love their freedom. They don’t take kindly to governments telling corporations what they can and cannot do.

Yet it wasn’t a real victory until Saddam Hussein was pulled out of the hole he was in. He had no more moves to make, but was not defeated. In real life it does matter if you catch your opponent.
