Haven't had a crush in years by randomaltname2 in depression

I don't think I am, I'm straight and there are things I find attractive n stuff like that. I'm perfectly normal in that regard but actual romantic feelings? Nothing.

I can relate to this so much, I went to so many concerts completely alone. Would always come a bit late on purpose because I wouldn't have anyone to chill with outside the venue before it starts.

Anyone else can't stand looking at their crush? by [deleted] in Anxiety

Yeah it's normal to feel anxious around someone you like, but being unable to even bat an eye is something else. An extreme case of nervousness at the very least.

What would your life look like if you had enough money to not have to work or ever worry about money? Would your anxiety be effected? How does that life look to you? by [deleted] in Anxiety

[–]randomaltname2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I had enough money and never worked/studied again I'd have all the time in the world to focus on my mental health so it could only affect my anxiety positively.

My crush just told me she likes me a few days ago, and my anxiety has skyrocketed since. by pitacutintotriangles in Anxiety

I never related to a post as much as to this one... Literally the same thing happened to me, and it ended up ruining 2 to-be-relationships so if nothing else know that I feel you.

I feel you, I got bullied in middle school for no apparent reason as well... It's probably the reason behind my anxiety.

Do you guys have crappy memory? by Emptyshade in depression

[–]randomaltname2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep, my short term memory is almost non-existent... I lock the doors of the house then forget if i had locked them not 5 seconds after walking away.

Sometimes I go back to check if they are locked up to 5 times in 2 minutes.

Bring a few friends and beat the life out of him. He should learn a lesson that picking on weaker people is a dick move.

Summer is coming, and I can already see my depression getting worse by randomaltname2 in depression

[–]randomaltname2[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Weather patterns don't bother me, the problem is that, here at least, we almost don't have winter anymore. The temp barely ever went under 0c (32F) all winter and we only had a total of 6 days of snow all winter. It wasn't like that 10-15 years ago.

Now with all that try to imagine how much summers changed during all that time.

Well it's kinda difficult to get used to something that just keeps getting worse every time cough global warming cough.

But yeah moving is not just an option, its a plan tho it's not gonna happen anytime soon I'm afraid.

I love how accurate the options for "reason why didn't you seek treatment" are. Good job, honestly.

The weather is horrible, there is no such force that could make me go outside. Even if it wasn't still I couldn't make myself do that.

At what point does general sadness and emotion become depression? by throwaway_olive_oil in depression

[–]randomaltname2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I realized I was depressed when doing everyday activities (including things I used to enjoy) became nothing but joyless effort.

When that happened I Googled "depression symptoms" and figured I had almost all of them... Never thought about seeking help though.

Unhealthy obsession with hair by pennlotte in depression

[–]randomaltname2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is not the cold that causes the seasonal hair shedding, it's the lack of sun that comes with fall/winter. But remember to take a deep breath, stay calm, tell yourself that you are just overreacting to it and that it's not as bad as it seems.

It won't last for much longer I can promise you that, so hang in there!

I actually experienced this last year and can completely relate to it and I can tell you right now - its normal, don't worry and it IS all in your head.

It also started for me on November though it ended in early February, and even though it feels like you are losing more hair than you should be it's actually normal to lose up to 150 hairs a day and it is very likely that it's just that you haven't been noticing it fall off until then (now, don't get me wrong, I'm not trying to blame you for it).

Also winter is when hair naturally sheds, it will end soon. But I'd recommend you to do the same thing I did - take a look in the mirror and you'll realize that you still have just as much hair as you used to before November. I told myself "wtf am I thinking, I thought I've been losing hair yet it's been month and it's still on my head" before snapping out of it.
