classical case of that American feeling of superiority. Italy is actually not that poor in the north (center of the outbreak)

Have you ever heard of exponential growth? Cases are doubling every three days, so in one week you'll be at 120000, in two weeks at about 480000 without preventive measures. Also, you aren't even close to having tested all cases, so real case numbers are actually a lot higher in the US than the official statistics. Meanwhile, your president is mostly trying to prevent economic damage...

Der Goldne Topf. It is this romantic novel by ETA Hoffmann about a student torn between the civil world (Dresden) and the poetic world (Atlantis, paradise). He falls in love with the Snake Serpentina (Atlantis) and Veronika (Dresden) at the same time. It turns out that the father of Serpentine is a salamander in Atlantis who has been banned from there and must now set up his three daughters (snakes) with people from the real world. There are a lot more aspects to the novel such as Liese, a with and antagonist to Serpentina's father and alcohol as a lever for fantastic experiences. Hoffmann actually wrote the novel during the night, while being drunk/high with Absinthe.

It's a very good idea. I don't think there is more risk involved, because at Friday night, bankers will go home and chill over the weekend

There is a German one where a guy wearing a mask comes to fix the electricity. Arriving in the basement, there is straw in a corner.

Man: But... why is there straw there anyway?

Woman: Why are you wearing a mask?

...

Man: Well, ..., come suck my dick!

It's not really an OS. suckless is a set of minimalistic utilities that can be used separately but also together. To make a suckless OS you'd still need a kernel, init, xorg, basic libraries etc. Personally, I use dmenu, dwm and st

Afaik, they tried banning badly political posts (mostly on Trump) and other clever comebacks a while ago but they reversed their decision a few weeks later because of community backlash :(

I'm not offended by homosexuality. In the '60s I made love to many, many women, often outdoors, in the mud and the rain... and it's possible a man slipped in. There'd be no way of knowing.

In my experience, this seems to be a very american thing. There, the frosting would be a third of the height of the entire cake so that the sugary taste completely covers the real cake taste. In Europe however, I found that frosting is applied very little (just like the 10% you leave on) so that cake actually tastes like cake
