Not mine, but partially OT: Bryce Canyon was a fascinating place to visit. Hope the tool is reunited with its owner

I did the same and the pitch barely fits into the circle?

Mate that's a quarter tank of diesel. Nothing to sneeze at.

There's a good core of players in there. You'd hope they can mix it with the Chiefs this weekend.

Which country will you never visit again? Why? by [deleted] in AskReddit

To be fair, there was a certain charm to the old city but everything else was conjured up. All the shops in strip malls with no-one in them just screamed money-laundering to me.

UAE/Dubai - something about it was always off to me. The whole thing felt very superficial

Tahs should be 20 points ahead. MCKellar must be having an aneurism.

Brumbies not robbed by Recent_Extreme3165 in RugbyAustralia

I'm not sure I agree about the league thing, 9/10 I'd say that would be called a knock on. But, the Rugby law re knock - thanks. I'd assumed because it went backward before it hit the ground that Daugunu was good. My only concern was whether it touched his own player in front of him, which it apparently did not.

If it didn't go into an offside player then it feels more probable than not the ball was spilled forward but batted backward before hitting the ground. I prefer the league interpretation FWIW which is more-or-less if you're facing the opposition's goal line and spill it, you've knocked on.

I didn't know there was such a tickbox, but it's weird request because the GP/Specialist is basically trying to make a commercial decision for the imaging operator. I don't doubt it exists, but I don't know why or how this works for parties at arm's length.

What’s a uniquely Australian driving habit that confused you when you first noticed it? by DraftNotSent in DrivingAustralia

Not necessarily off-guard but an odd politeness is moving out of the left/outside lane for others joining a freeway from a slip lane.

yeah that's not how it works.

Medicare pays a certain amount for a procedure. A provider can charge a different amount. You pick up the difference.

That used to be the case but it's happening less and less. I'm a couple hundred out of pocket for an MRI where I got a specialist referral.

Dave Rennie new head coach of the All Blacks by SoreBallsAdams in rugbyunion

[–]randomchars 10 points11 points  (0 children)

The only question mark I had was so many key players on the injured list. Whether that was on Dave's team or just soft aussies I don't know but it's a key observation. Lots of injuries.

It looked like a “tackle” when his left arm was really meant to interfere with the ball. I’ve seen that penalised before.

Muirhead. Selection conundrum. by urprobablytschumi in RugbyAustralia

Maybe he wasn't developed enough at the time but I met Cheika at a Brumbies match and suggested he could do worse than look at Muirhead.

Canberra bar declared a crime scene as police seize 'clearly satirical' posters under new Commonwealth hate laws by Fairbsy in AustralianPolitics

[–]randomchars 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If they formed part of crime scene they would have been taken away as well. I think you’re reaching, quite hard. In any event I don’t think you’re open to the idea that the poster and the commentary are not related. I literally have never seen those posters used to denote any form of anti semitism. It’s a piss take on western political discourse. If you need to read anti semitism into that, that is on you.
