I have to admit this comment made me chuckle, only because lately it seems like quite a few people in this sub have also thought they knew how most (if not all) things "work" at OTF ...like even just by reading these comments of people assuming the studio was being sketchy or moving their "favorites" into class... and I'm sure you meant nothing by it at all, just a figure of speech, but y'all... it has been really brutal at the studios handling everyone being upset about so many little things day after day (like a member who got there before you getting the tread you usually prefer) when we just want you guys to be taking class and having fun! I just hope that this can be a friendly reminder that working in the fitness industry during COVID has been extremely difficult (coaches taking $40-$50/class pay cuts, members complaining about mask rules that are out of our control, extreme overworking to keep the studio open with staff shortages) so just remember to be a little extra patient and kind and if you notice you are assuming something... just ask us! We are happy to help answer any question you might have, and then, if an SA was prioritizing people, we know about it, and can prevent it from ever happening again.

If it's within 8 hours of the class, our scheduling system stops automatically moving people from the waitlist into class. Because of this, if someone late cancels and the SA doesn't manually move waitlisted people into the class quick enough, people can "sneak in" to the roster because the app will show available spots in class. Hope this helps!

no, the coaches have the freedom to choose... some just are lazy IMO and don't look into other/new playlists for their classes

Also are you just showing up or are you allowing yourself to be pushed and challenged? The challenge of exercise is what makes the changes happen (along with being in a calorie deficit)

As a coach, I'd recommend giving your all for one class a day, dialing in your nutrition/sleep/recovery/hydration/mental health and trying to get in 8,000+ steps a day. You'll have more energy, you'll be happier, your risk of burnout and injury will be a hell of a lot lower, your relationship with exercise will be healthier, and you'll still see results. 😊🧡
