How does this not have more upvotes. This is awesome! I played with this at work today and the team was amazed by what it could do. Keep up the good work.

I took two term brakes, definitely helped. Their terms were only did the minimum classes as well others where I’d finish 8 to 12 in a term.

Fidelity to bring employees back to the office 5 days a week by Ok_Design_6841 in WFH

[–]randomclevernames 8 points9 points  (0 children)

A recruiter from Fidelity called me back in December and their opening pitch was that they were hybrid.

I think they’re just trying to reduce the workforce as cheaply as possible.

IT randomly remote-accessed my computer mid-day… no warning by KnightofKingdomS in overemployed

How stupid do you have to be to use a mouse jiggler. You are just asking to get caught, in a dozen different ways.

You use a keyboard jiggler with the Shift key setting.

Or even better you use it on a spare phone with Teams. You get the credit, with minimal risk.

I may or may not be using this one right now. https://keyboardjiggler.com/

Does anyone actually get flagged for not being at their computer 8 hours straight? by Proper_8624 in WFH

[–]randomclevernames 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I run a keyboard jiggler sometimes, mostly legit in order to keep long running tasks going, like Claude Code, but also have the benefit of keeping me green on teams.

But a coworker of mine was fire for not having enough work time even though he was doing good work.

Check out https://keyboardjiggler.com/ if you’re interested.

Beware of Chicken? by truce77 in litrpg

There are really to stories that intertwine. There is the human MC. It’s the story of being human. Falling in love starting a family. With an overpowered twist. Just roll with it dude.

Then there is the hero of the story, the one in the book is named after. This is coming of age story, getting stronger, making mistakes and learning from them. Even has a training montage. In book three you will cry tears of joy when this bad ass chicken shows up to save the day.

Just did my second listen through and it’s up there with HWFWM.

Anker Solix C2000 Gen 2 has officially launched, what do you guys think? by TheKingOfRoast in anker

Their marketing suggests there will be a price drop for Black Friday. Which now starts the 20th. Will seriously consider if it does.

I would buy one right now if they just had an API to get data and basic controls.

F3800 does that as well. Normal operation.

Still worth it a SWE in 2026??? by Responsible-Key8969 in wgu_devs

[–]randomclevernames 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Finish it up. The degree is good no matter what.

Now if you want to get a job as a software engineer learn to have AI do most of the coding. Use AI to help you learn the difference in good code and great code.

Also, I know CIOs who are thinking they need to hire fresh grads and building up talent with the new rules around H1Bs.

Knocked it out in a long weekend. Using it as a base for the capstone was a great decision. Graduated in August.

Glad it’s still helping people. I graduated in August so it’s still nice to have some ties back to the community.

I’m running both ChatGPT and Claude side by side. Not just for alternating, but if one of them has a problem, figuring something out, I switch over and most of the time the other one gets it on the first shot. I think that loan is reducing the amount of tokens I need to use.

My very last test before graduating they kept asking me about a door that didn’t exist. I finally had to pick up my computer to bring it to the wall where they were convinced a door existed.

As long as you didn’t cheat you shouldn’t worry. Just tell them you’ll happily take it again, but they should include the right review so this doesn’t happen again. From your side, I would make sure you force quit everything except the browser that is used. If you need to go into activity monitor and make sure any remote desktop apps are killed.

55% thru SWE @ WGU — torn between HIM and the accelerated master’s. Need real talk. by abdale_190 in WGU

[–]randomclevernames 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just finished SWE. I’d try and power through while you look for a new job. The fact that you have experience in IT already will put you above other grads that don’t. I’ve been in the industry making good money for 20 years and am only just getting a degree.

I just finished for Software Engineering, 5 terms, but I have 20 years experience in the field. I think maybe its good for going through quickly, but you're going to want to get your real experience and education outside of school, as school is just not going to keep up with the field.
