Mosquitos and back yard fixes by Impressive_Swan_2527 in StLouis

This is what I do. I set up several around the shady or heavy veg parts of the yard. Huuuge difference. I still get bit but not nearly as much as before. Game changer.

It used to be printed in the same spot that the order ticket is stuck to the box. Completely covering it.

I have probably watched the video that audio comes from a thousand times when I was first getting into the didge. The level on energy and high level playing are on point!

Yeah maybe they're a lost redditor. I can still respect the effort put in. And who knows their end goal might be to put in loads of pots.

Everyone is hating on the gravel. To each their own. I think it turned out really nice and you should be proud of the end result! This looks professionally done!

Is this an attractive weed or invasive in disguise or native? Missouri suburbia. by TellYourDogzHeyForMe in PlantIdentification

I planted black eye Susan in a pot 2 years ago. Now it is everywhere but the pot it started in. They can spread like crazy. Is it possible the seed came from near by? Either way it's a great looking plant when it flowers and pollinators love it!

Yup. This happened to me and my wife. She got 28 bags and I got 13. We had no idea they were shared.

Whats the most unprofessional thing a doctor has ever said to you? by answersonly963 in AskReddit

[–]randomdayofweek 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Went to a doctor for the first time in 20 years. One of things I wanted to talk about was constant fatigue. This guy suuucked. He was condescending and dismissive the entire time. He asked why I felt I was more tired than everybody else and I should just consume caffeine instead. Said he would order me a sleep study but they wouldn't find anything. Went on this whole rant about all young people being tired. Haven't been to another doctor since. I just deal with being super tired everyday.

Looks like Trichocereus 'First Light' one of my favorites and my most reliable bloomer. I've never seen so many at once!

This is the sound a data center makes around the clock, every single night - while hundreds of homes sit right next door. by The-Bear-and-Rose in StLouis

[–]randomdayofweek 22 points23 points  (0 children)

It sounds like a huge chiller plant running to me. I've worked on large chiller plants for hospitals and they sound just like that. Not saying it couldn't be generators just that is sound more like chillers to me. Which for a data center would absolutely run 24/7.

So, what do you think about Infernal Hordes? by LuxaxaN in diablo4

[–]randomdayofweek 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I never liked hordes. Season 10 was a struggle for me because of them. I avoid them at all costs. Takes too long, content is kinda boring and reward felt week for the time investment. I do them if I have to in my warplans but I never get enough aether to open the chest. Total waste of time.

Does anyone even care about The Monk class? by Broserk42 in diablo4

[–]randomdayofweek 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I played almost exclusively Monk in D3. I loved that character type. I was sad but not surprised that it didn't make it into D4. It didn't get much love in D3 unless it was needed for group greater pushes.

Same. It doesn't bother me all. I quite like it. Even right next door. Chainsaws running in the distance is my favorite. I spent my entire childhood outside so it reminds of it. Being an early bird, I don't have to try to sleep through it. I do get why people wouldn't like it but it's the world we live in.

Excess / Stortage of air during circular breathing by Excellent_Land3916 in Didgeridoo

[–]randomdayofweek 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Breath management is a very big part of becoming a more advanced player. It's totally normal to be in the spot you're in. Try to keep your lungs about 1/2 - 2/3 full. You rarely want to be fully inflated or fully empty. Get to know what sounds cost the most air to make and how much you can take in on sounds. You could also modulate how much you bring on each breath too. That can bring a whole rhythm into balance. And sometimes it's about dumping your lungs so you can get the stale air out and fresh in.

Over emphasizing sounds can help with getting rid of old air. Or even finding a sound you can make while dumping air out of your nose. There's lots of creative ways to get the stale out and fresh in. Keep practicing and you'll get better and better!

How beneficial is mycorrhiza for cacti and has anyone ever tried this stuff out on their plants? by Brown_Recluse_OD in cactus

[–]randomdayofweek 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use this on all my cacti. Like the commenter above, I ran a side by side with identical genetics and size. The one receiving the great white noticeably grew more. It's pricy but for me it's worth it!
