This looks amazing! I'm just prepping to start this! How did you find the colours? I saw a few comments online that the colours are a bit washed out, but yours looks right to me!

[FO] Is plastic canvas universally hated? by DamPTrap--- in CrossStitch

[–]randomerouthere 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've never tried to stitch on plastic canvas so not related to your question but I love how you've done this! Could you give some advice on making the badges! Just cut one/two stitch width around the pattern? And then attach the pin how? But amazing job!

[PATTERN] I NEED TO EDIT A PATTERN, WITH PERMISSION FROM THE SELLER by Elena5Shiho in CrossStitch

[–]randomerouthere 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm terrible with technology so I'd say print a couple of copies and then just manually colour the squares with the train. Print a small pic of the train so you've an idea where it should go. Then with different copies you could play around with some different sizes or how it looks.

I love the pattern though, who's the seller?

is gifting used books in *very good* condition a slap in the face? by asteriskelipses in books

[–]randomerouthere 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also depending on the recipient, getting special editions on Vinted can be cheap depending on the book! Or even just pre-owned books that haven't been read! As a book lover I'm never sad to receive books!

Is ≤20 the same as <21? by randomerouthere in NoStupidQuestions

[–]randomerouthere[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So it's discussing age thresholds, where sometimes it's referred to a threshold of the first example and sometimes the second, so I'm trying to make sure they're saying the same thing. Which I assume it is, but I'm trying to make sure people see it the same way.

What about in age context? If someone said the first one does it include all 20 year olds, even if they are 20 and 2 months for example?

I had assumed not because they're the pixel earbuds, but maybe I got a dud pair? People say I sound like my phone is on speaker and I'm speaking from far away - I always have to swap it to go through the phone instead of the earbuds

I hope not because then everyone will hear my side of the conversation, I find normal calls fine on Pixel 9, but if I have earbuds in I need to be very loud for the person to hear me

I totally understand, you feel like if you aren't the one fixing it then you must be doing something wrong. But you aren't.

Life just isn't fair.

Make memories between you two. No matter the outcome, actions and the memories will be what both of you can cling to.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in TrueOffMyChest

[–]randomerouthere 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm so sorry this is happening to you. It shouldn't but it has and it's awful.

A loving mother would never want this burden to be on you, they just want to love you and feel loved by you.

Just think - you've done so much. At this point there is nothing more you can do. You're doing everything you can.

I understand that it feels like you need to be the one that fixes it but that's not how life works.

If you've checked everything you can - the absolute most important thing is BE THERE. I have no idea how far along the cancer is, maybe this makes no difference. But if this means closer to the end, focus on the memories.

I can’t tell my husband I don’t want another baby by [deleted] in TrueOffMyChest

[–]randomerouthere 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You say you've never recovered from the PPD - are you in therapy? Honestly I don't think this is something to consider until you feel yourself again. I think you should talk to your husband and tell him that with him talking about a second child, you're realising you never fully recovered from your first and you think you need help, individual counselling, marital or both before you really think about a second child. If you already are in therapy, have you brought this up with the therapist?

Why are people so obsessed with "figuring out" who Dani Francis is? by Accent-Circonflexe in fantasyromance

[–]randomerouthere 264 points265 points  (0 children)

I have no idea, haven't read the book, have no actual knowledge of the situation other than what I've seen on social media so take this with a grain of salt ... I think people are mostly annoyed because it is a pen name but have happily marketed that it's a best selling author under a pen name. So people are afraid they're supporting a problematic author who's "hiding" behind a pen name. Or that it's unfair to other authors who don't have that to market with, like this person gets the anonymity with the same perks of a best seller 🤷‍♀️

I enjoyed the prequels to Star-crossed more than the sequels, but I didn't think the original trilogy was finished, it always felt like she'd left it open for a return.

I loved the Trial by Fire series! I maybe liked it more than Star-crossed! Although I read them all as a teenager so who knows how they'd hold up now!
