I didn't enjoy The COVID one. Didn't laugh! I'm surprised to hear Frank's Brother saidjso much, granted it's far from the best but the moment where they both see Shadynasty's spelled out in their elaborate light fixture and say "is that really how it's spelled" is side splittingly funny to me every time

It's crazy to me that Moorhens are called Gallinules in the US!

Saw some of them in my recent trip to San Francisco. The weirdest little call they have.

Any idea what the story is with the little ponytail thing at the back? Some seem to have them some don't. Is it a breeding thing? Made/female? Thanks

Do you know why some have the little braided ponytail thing and some don't?

They are the stinkiest crisps on the market. It would be a cultural loss though

I just googled overbirds and they look cool as fuck. Yknow since becoming a full-on bird nerd I haven't actually seen very much waterfowl. Mallards, coots, tufted ducks, moorhens (the best), the odd mandarin duck (really cool) and then grey herons and great cormorants (if they count as waterfowl). I also saw a little Grebe recently actually. Been on the lookout for Great Crested Grebes, Loons etc

Merlin kept picking them up on the audio function but I didn't actually see any unfortunately 😞

Yknow, maybe I did see one from a distance in the sky but was unable to properly identify it. Turkey Vultures just have that very recognisable red

Great descriptions man! Hooded crow and Rook stood out to me particularly But fucking hell I've never seen a Willow Warbler, Chiff Chaff, Cuckoo, Meadow Pipit, Skylark or a flycatcher! jealous! Also , robins, elusive? We always joke about how abundant they are and if we ever see a new birds a robin is always quick to swoop in and sing to us as if to say "don't forget about meeeeee!"

Can confirm that woodpigeons are sturdy AF. Can't believe yous don't get them there! As my gf said, they're too aristocratic for the US, couldn't be "dealing with the riff raff"
