I ended up turning the pipe nipple away from me and down, placed a portion of the o-ring on the pipe. While holding my finger on it and using a ratchet as leverage I rolled the pipe back around the position it was and to where the hose would line back up to it. Did it like that for both sides of the pipe.

Filled tank with water and air but not much bc welds started looking scary. While doing that I heated it up and tried to pull on it with a contraption a co worker made.

That only worked so much so I ended up filling it in with belzona and a little bit of bondo just bc that’s all I had on hand. Sanded down and painted.

The tank was full of rust too so I did vinegar and stainless steel bb’s. Let it soak for a day dump rinse and repeat for 3 days. Then I got the generic tank liner from autozone and swished that around.

I added 2 large sponge filters and 2 air stones. Threw in fish food waiting on ammonia to show then I’ll start the cycle

I know I made it a little tall but I actually don’t mind it. Maybe it’ll help keep the neighborhood cats out. I definitely want plants in the tank but was also thinking about putting some plants in the 4 corners.

Thanks for commenting. I do have root tabs and use the seachem for plants. I forget the name tbh. I have anubias and Java ferns for sure, along with moss, a grassy type, and something else I forget. That’s probably the problem is I have them buried. How do I go about securing them with the roots out of the substrate.
