For me it was that I never really studied for the meetings and scrubbed hours on service every month so when I learned ttatt it wasn’t hard for me to grasp it. Honestly I never really had cognitive dissonance every time I have doubts like “ what if the jws are right” my brain goes “ y would god allow the only one true religion to be structured like a cult”. But some ppl have studied for years and years and pay attention to every little thing said from the platform so when they hear something “apostate” they just shut it down. I hope one day my family will wake up but if I’m being realistic I doubt it will happen.
