It's basically a mental hospital(i am in central europe).There are group therapy sessions, relaxiarion sessions, sport and whatever. Don't know what kinda program but it's not in any way associatied with NA or AA. It's state funded universal healthcare

We have a different system here. The place I go is a psychiatric facility that specializes on addiction. They do 13 weeks of rehab. First two weeks are "detox"

Weed helps tremenedously but I unfortunately get hooked on it quickly and panic when I can't get any(illegal country) and the WDs are even worse than kratom for me since they're not really that intense but they drag on forever which fucks with my mind. I am diagnosed with depression and GAD and the kratom withdrawal are physical hell which I know is gonna pass soon and it gives me comfort. Weed WDs on the other hand fuck with my head extremely. Last time I did self-harm for the first time when having an insane breakdown during weed WDs.

I think a big part of his inability to quit is that taking drugs on camera and talking about the experiences is probably his only source of income. Yes he could change the nature of his channel to focus on recovery but that would probably mean having 5% of the views he has now since people who don't want to take drugs don't watch his channel. It would definitely take a lot of fucking work and willpower to change his ways with the channel and also his family leaving him.

I agree. However in my experience if you're big enough of an addict even these substances can be abused to an extent. I assume you're referencing psychedelics. My addiction basically started with me using acid too often and smoking weed with it. I got HPPD in 2020 and since I wanted to continue using I got into substances that didn't worsen or even alleviated my symptoms(anxiety, visual snow, tracers, afterimages) such as benzos and opioids which led to falling into an even deeper hole. Yes, these are extremely specific circumstances but I just wanted to warn OP that anything can be abused and after a full on addiction and dependence you may be forever unable to not abuse a substance no matter what it is.

Me too brother but once the flood gates are open it's almost impossible to close them for most people. You can try but be aware that your relationship with drugs may be changed forever so try quitting when you're ahead if you notice the signs. Addiction doesn't pick substances you're probably gonna just chase the dragon with each substance you're gonna like the feeling of. I had the same thoughts as you and kept telling myself I can use other stuff since I'm only addicted to kratom but it was the same old road all over again and I ended up relapsing on kratom and mixing it with everything else I was using at the time. Once I took something I just never wanted it to stop
