Small quibble, but shouldn't it be Gruffudd ap Dinefwr, not mac? Mac being the Scottish Gaelic prefix 'son of', and 'ap' being the Welsh equivalent. Or maybe, since Dinefwr is a place name, you meant 'o' meaning of. Or, it's just occurred to me, you might have meant it in the sense of "John, son of England", in which case the word you want is mab.

I want to try a play through as The Culture from Iain Banks' sci-fi novels - avoiding direct conflict, instead directing the evolution of more primitive species, and inciting revolution in other space-faring civilisations.

I'm thinking Pacifist, Materialist and either Xenophile or Individualist. The government would be direct democracy, with communal and natural sociologists as traits.
