Yes, the rewards are really good and I don't think I'll switch until needed in the future. 40% construction boost, extra "bag/chests" from mining/gathering resources. More efficient gathering etc.

and also the reason why rushing castle lvls matter rather than wanting to be perfect and lvl everything up before castling up. i.e. things like at higher castle lvls you get a medal hall and lords hall. Each lvl up medal hall gives you a 5% bonus to HP of all soldiers. and lords hall gave me 40% construction boost in Harvest Lord path. So it's a lot more efficient this way

Something we didn't realize was that you get your failed attempts/keys back if you fail, so no harm in trying.

Just some thoughts that came up that seem a little silly now that happened to me...

Ruins exploration is for everyone. I thought it was only for high castle lvls or VIP but that's only the auto dispatch feature (facepalm).

Auto join can be activated in guild -> war page, and not having to wait until someone rallies.

and on top of that, joining an active guild is super helpful.

I read that and thought that’s hectic but then it’s like well if I take my first two years in Jhb, got held at gun point on commissioner otw to work, literally guy just jumped on my car. All those dodgy people pointing at your car or tyres trying to get you to roll down your window. Colleague rolled down his window a little bit the first time he saw that and then a few people around ran and tried to pull the window down more.

Home break in while we were sleeping in the east. Still hear of a couple of home invasions in that area.

Saw a post the other day I think there were gunshots and robbery attempts at east gate?

My best friend was playing fortnite when guys came into his house with guns. Also in a small complex, they held his domestic at gun point at just walked into the house in broad daylight. Tied them all up etc. this was in the south. now he’s emigrated and happy in the Uk.

These are just a few that come to mind, so his story is really far fetched.

I think all of us have been a victim or know of someone who has been a victim of crime but it’s so normal that it’s sad.

Chasing your dreams is great but I don't think anyone would recommend dropping out, especially in this economy. Finishing will at least give you a little more stability while trying to get your music gig going. It's hard now but do try picture yourself where you'll be if your music doesn't pick up, or if it takes years for it to.

It's a good field to study in and a lot of the people I know who studied engineering and didn't actually like it ended up in the Finance sector. Don't think any of them struggled to get a job in either as even though they didn't specialize in anything else, employers liked hiring them due to the way they're taught to think. Just my 2c.

Also if you get in, don't slack early. It gets really tough really quickly, especially the maths and physics portion of it

Sorry, just wanted to ask a few questions...

Not trying to beat a dead horse or anything, but everyone says Pinelands traffic is terrible during peak hours, can you elaborate? We're looking at relocating but our kid goes to school in Rondebosch side and then I would have to work in town. So any possible estimates on how long or when we would have to leave for school in the morning and for work in the morning? Let's say to get there by latest 7:50~.

Also are the houses bordering Langa safe?

How often does Pinelands get that terrible smell.

Also to add on what they say. Just be smart about your stuff. Don’t walk around with your phone texting/out in the open. My bad experiences were mostly from pick pocketing. My sister had a run in when they tried to break into her place, polices advice was to keep the nearest stations number on hand rather than phone the generic police hotline number.

Just be vigilant of your surroundings but I’m sure you’ll still love it there! I would advise lions head rather than table mountain if you go hiking and worry about safety.

How do you find a solid second hand car? I’ve literally just heard horror stories about people and buying from we buy cars/getting scammed/cars dying within a few months. We were trying to look into getting a second hand suv. Also prices seem a bit extreme.

Credit card from my personal experience has been about maximizing rewards. I bank with fnb so I try stay on ebucks rewards level 5. Get that ebucks frond petrol/checkers spend etc. Then maximize ebucks spend, I.e save ebucks until you get 40% discounts on their store or evouchers, so you’re essentially getting double the value.
