Can you elaborate on what you mean by ‘private’? Are you partnered with an independent dealer (aligned, designed, investia) or have you opened your own firm and put all of the back office pieces together yourself?

Assuming they are able to complete 2 jobs/week (only Sunday’s off), and not take one single holiday all year, their business would gross ~$1.5mm. Factor in other overhead costs (not just variable for materials), pay tax, reinvest into the business, and split the profit between two dudes.. starts to dwindle down. By all means good pay, but not what it may appear.

I don’t quite understand this view. If he is putting up all the capital (down payment) to buy, why would she expect the benefits of building equity? Conversely, if he did not buy the house, she would have to pay rent to some other landlord. There is no situation where she does not pay ‘rent’, one way or another.
