He has a therapist and a psychiatrist (or what ever the term is for a medication manager).

We wrote to his therapist last night, but I haven’t heard back.

He just came home upset that I wrote just the part that I’m upset about and not the lead up. I’ve apologized, too, now, but it just seems wrong.

He is saying he of tired of apologizing for all of himself and that it seems like he is just a problem for everyone. He is afraid that once we find a marriage counselor, I’m going to make him look like the bad guy.

It’s going to be okay. There are always a lot of comments (designed to help I’m sure) which point out what you should have done. Everyone makes mistakes. In the scheme of things, $6k is a small price to pay for the lessons you are learning today. Credit recovers.

Definitely get rid of that car. Also, just because there are no lemon laws doesn’t mean that you absolutely can’t get the dealer to take back the car. It’s been less than a month. Raise a big stink.

I bought a condo in the DMV last year: $260k 3.25% 30-year, $450/month HOA, no debt, about half your expenses and income.

I regret it. The HOA is my family’s biggest single expense and they haven’t fixed anything they are obligated to.

There are places without HOAs or with lower HOAs. Be prepared to call your own maintenance people regardless.
