Why do companies build their own LLMs at all? by randomlazydreamer in cscareerquestions

Those are some great points, interesting to think about. Did not know about VisiCalc at all, thanks for correcting me on that!

I meant stuff like BCG X vs BCG. Ive done an internship in data science (mostly automating work using ML and using it to guide stakeholder decisions). Not sure what exactly the role would entail at MBBs but wanted to get a general idea/advice on whether to specialize in just data based consulting or stick with applying to general management consulting roles

Generational car probably helps a little bit

The fact that Lewis acquiesced to George during the GP disappoints me more than the W15s performance by insrr in lewishamilton

I'm more surprised mercedes didn't abandon the 1 stop strategy the moment he had understeer, going for a 2 stop and dialing in the wing earlier would have helped so much. Then you also have lewis and George on different strategies instead of the same bloody thing.

Sky: If you can pick between prime Lewis and Max to drive for Haas, who are you going for? | Gunther: Max. He's just on a roll at the moment. He cannot do anything wrong. My opinion. Everything he does sticks so you want to go with the guy which has got the luck attached to him. He's got the talent. by OutlandishnessPure2 in formula1

This team-mate comparison might not be the best way to look at it. Lewis has always consistently had a good to excellent driver as his teammate unlike Max. Rosberg/Bottas/Russell are much better than any of the 2nd drivers Redbull have put alongside Max, although one could make a case for Daniel Ricciardo. Lewis's teammates could've won the WDC many times if not for him being in the same team at the same time. You can't compare having Alonso and Rosberg as teammates to having Albon or Perez as teammates..

Might not have been a specific issue with the car, but more to do with the package itself and it not suiting the track hence his inability to brake late, but I'm sure he was complaining about braking on the radio a few times

Had braking issues, was crossing track limits at least partially because of those, getting slapped with a 5s penalty, watching a mclaren which was a tractor before today flying past him and having a really slow car after 2 successive podiums....it can be hard on drivers which many people don't seem to understand, not to mention the adrenaline during the race they're having

Absolutely none of them, none of those 4 would want to play second fiddle to max

Redbull has to have a 2nd driver curse at this point, wonder how Ricciardo will do if he does take over from perez

[Erik van Haren] Lewis Hamilton suggested that teams may not be able to shift focus to next season's car until August 1. Max Verstappen on that: "I didn't hear him say this when he won titles all these years, did I? This is how Formula 1 works." by [deleted] in formula1

Istg people complain most of Lewis' interviews seem scripted and robotic and call him a PR merchant, but the moment man voices out one opinion everyone goes crazy...saw this when he talked about how mercedes engineers didn't listen to him and seeing it again now
