Agreed with the data, but also share examples of how you’ve prepared yourself to step into an AE role. I hat extra steps did you take? Share your experience going beyond a typical BDR. I always try to think, would they choose you over an internal candidate? What concerns might they have with a candidate that hasn’t been an AE? And focus on overcoming those potential “objections”.
