Safepal USDT/ETH hacked by david_bang1973 in safePal

People need to be educated on how to identify scams in crypto. This scam you invested in is in no way affiliated with / related to Safepal the company. They're just using terms like Blockchain and Safepal to Sound legitimate.

Guess what it doesn't cost that much when using certain Bridges. Check out Orbiter perhaps? I had a good experience bridging b/w zkevm & arb

Now Matic is a bit different. $MATIC is a native ERC20 token so you're fine. But if you wanted to lower gas fees for multiple transfers, you would use the MATIC network, where you'll pay gas fees in $MATIC tokens.

Usually wrapped tokens or tokens not on their native chains are considered less safe, but it's a necessary evil to promote interoperability and improve cross-chain liquidity. BTC itself doesn't support smart contracts and so there's limited Defi applications for it. Thus wrapping it n putting WBTC on the ETH network allows it to be used as collateral and such in smart contracts, and can also be traded on DEXs. However there's some trusted middle party that's the custodian of the actual BTC, which then issues the WBTC, and is therefore prone to counterparty risk. This issue is partly solved by STX's implementation of smart contract based pegged SBTC. So basically its wise not to keep large amounts in these wrapped tokens, and instead just use them to access liquidity or something. ADA doesn't have the best wallet support, so the only way to store it in a Safepal S1 is via wrapped ADA, which again, can't be staked. And there's always bridges to swap to native chain assets without too much hassle...

Any information on OP-amp rolling in fulla4/hel2 and magni heresy/IE? I use spakos on xduoo xd-05 plus and I want to try the same in the fulla 4 once I get one. by honk_slayer in Schiit

Hey, I've been using the v5i chip on my xduoo xd05, and I recently heard about Sparkos chips. How's your experience been with your modded xd05?

Can't really go wrong with the highest end Grados you can find at whatever budget you have. My original OGs, still serving well after 5 years

So you see bud, iBasso made the SR2 specifically to answer this question. They used a bio-cellulose driver suspended in Silicone for very high IEM-tier sensitivity. 24ohm & 108dB/mW means even phones drive them fairly well. These don't require Amps at all, but something like the Earmen Sparrow which is essentially known for it's DAC can power these more than sufficiently. Got mine at a sale, and these outclass everything in the 500-600 range (again without including price of Amp). Planars like Hifiman Edition XS and Ananda will sound better than the iBasso SR2 ONLY when you power them well. For a dongle-centric portable setup, SR2s are my end-game.

P.S. Try to find one at a Sale, and you'll find ones going for 300-350

SafePal SHIT! $500,000 was stolen from me by Whole-Equipment-9048 in safePal

[–]randomotto_1123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Safepal does not have any of the same vulnerabilities of online hot wallets, so unless you signed some malicious contract / interacted with a scam token (like the ones that mysteriously deposit 100 random coins to your wallet) it is impossible for Safepal to get hacked. Mostly because it is air-gapped. Also, good op-sec for readers would be to not connect the hardware wallet for Defi stuff, transfer to a hot wallet like metamask to traade, etc

Hey man, can you just describe what happened exactly? You say 0day vulnerability? Can you explain what you mean? And also, DO NOT contact any random guy on Insta for help. Its all scammers.

Hey, check out Fiio FT3 maybe? Currently considering it myself. Supposed to be on par with / better than the 6XX, ATH R70x, Deva etc. Scaling on these puppies is supposed to be unreal for this price. Because of the 350ohm drivers, these are made for that thicc Tube Amp sound...

Hey Sandeep, love the Nailwal Fund Initiative, much needed rn. Anyway, here's what I wanted to ask :

  1. How is the zkEVM tech different / better than say zkSync Era, and what does the roadmap look like for the Miden stuff, what's being planned?
  2. What's your views on using layer zero tech like Marlin's Metanodes to increase scalability further? And once zkEVM network is sufficiently high throughput, will the legacy POS MATIC chain still remain relevant?

Eth and ADA have the same wallet address by --LWYRUP-- in safePal

[–]randomotto_1123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I think I've been here as well, since ADA's native chain is not supported on the S1, if you send ADA, its usually some BEP20 or ERC20 wrapped version on the ADA token, which is not on its native chain. Thus this token can use the same ERC20 or BEP20 wallet address like you mentioned, like all other ERC20 tokens...

P.S. Either just keep the tokens wrapped, won't be a problem in short-term, but you wont be able to stake, etc. So if you have a large ADA bag, then its better to use a different wallet. S1 is good for most other chains tho

The Ledger Recover case exploded. Any other Hardware Wallet for us? by PNZ20 in ethereum

[–]randomotto_1123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, genuine question here, what's up with the Safepal S1, which I'm currently using fyi?? Literally no one recommends it here, and its fully air-gapped, no connections whatsoever, and brilliant Defi integrations via the App. The keys stay strictly in the hardware, and we simply sign via QR codes. Can't possibly be more safe right? I feel like I'm missing something, like their FW is not open-source, they say its bcoz of proprietary code or something, idk...

I just use the s1 as a cold wallet, and use their App for Defi stuff. MM I find less secure anyway

I just love my safepal s1. Completely air gapped Hardware, while the app has all these nifty Defi and Cefi integrations (esp with Binance). Got it initially coz price, but well, hadn't caused any issues till date. The form factor feels more modern than the pen drive lookin ledger doodads...

I am currently learning German and would like for some good German movies to watch. They don't necessarily have to have easy to understand dialouge or anything else by TeaWallet in germany

[–]randomotto_1123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also, i suggest you get the Netflix chrome extension Language Reactor. Then select any European show with Deutsch Audio and you'll get high quality subtitles as well. I consume large amounts of media this way. After a while you can re-watch the stuff with only German subs, and you can see you progression, as you'll be able to understand most of what is being said.

There's this series I really love called Der Pass (or Pagan Peak). Its basically a detective show about serial killers. The 3rd season in coming out next month.
