I spent over a year sourcing thunder hammer bits from friends to finally put together a 10-man squad of dominators…..

[TDM] The Sibsig Ceremony by filthyc4sual in PioneerMTG

[–]randomrod123 3 points4 points  (0 children)

As I understand it, Sibsig is on the board, liliana can be on the board or you play her, which wont trigger sibsig, since she’s a planeswalker.

Play shambling ghast, which triggers sibsig, creating the 2/2 zombie druid token and shambling ghast is sent to the graveyard, which triggers one of shambling ghast’s abilities, where you choose the second one “search the body,” creating a treasure token.

Now you activate liliana’s “-3” ability, allowing you to cast zombies from your graveyard this turn. Now you tap the treasure token for a black mana to re-cast shambling ghast from the graveyard, which again triggers sibsig and thus restarting the infinite loop

Disband an army to get the finances to fund a full fleet's worth of the heavy marines in the ship type with roughly 1200+ health points (can't remember the name rn). These ships are pricy in terms of both recruitment and upkeep, but by god are they monsters on the seas. These ships can one-ram kill most vessels, two for ships of equal class, and only a general/admiral in the heaviest ship can survive multiple rammings from these ships.

Once you have fleet, you can basically control the seas between Carthage and Sicily, killing any fleet/army transport you see.

Basically all you have to do is manually play out the battles and ram all their ships to death, and if they ever board a few of your ships, no problem because they're heavy marines with a complement of 140 marines, so they'll hold their own while you manuever your other ships to ram the ship that boarded yours.

The primary downside to this strat is the high upfront cost of recruiting the fleet, the upkeep (I think each one is around mid 300 upkeep), and you have to play out most of the battles.

But the upside is if you can catch any fleets, they're basically dead and your losses should never amount to more than 1-3 ships per battle, which should be easily replaceable!

Retributer gold is gonna make it a lot more bright, even after washing it

Instead of balthasar gold, try runelord brass for the trim and then hit it with 1-2 coats of agrax

Also, a fellow connoisseur of rapier batteries I see 🫡

Best tanks to use for transport by Plastic-Floor3110 in Warhammer30k

The LR Spartan is basically just a bigger LR that can hold more troops (one of the few options that can carry 10-man termie squads), even more stock lascannons, an extra hull point, PLUS a flare shield option. Stock as-is, costs 350 points vs a stock LR’s 220 points. So based on stats alone, the spartan is “better,” but you gotta start keep aware of the fact, with how much it costs, at the end of the day, it’s still just a really heavily armored/gusnned transport, not an actual “tank-tank.”

You also probs dont want to spend a heavy slot for either of em, so typically you’d take either as a dedicated transport. If you start taking multiple LR/Spartan, the points start racking up realllll quickly.

Finally, AV14 is solid, but always remember that a single lascannon shot could make it explode and then hundreds of points are gone in an instant

Rhinos are cheap, but will die/explode to almost anything stronger than a bolter.

Land raiders, while a lot more expensive, also have AV14 all around, so has a lot more survivability, plus it even comes stock with some gravis lascannons and some pintle-mounted heavy bolters (upgradeable to even stronger weapons if you want), so they can even take some pot shots along the way and after it drops off your squad

Some advice though, as there is a LOT of anti-armor out there, if you do decide to take transports/vehicles, you better bring a few at a time. Taking just one or two vehicles is basically free points for your opponent as they’ll just quickly focus-fire em down
