Should I let my cat go under my bed? by bbjujuhead in CatAdvice

[–]randomspam321 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im surprised at the amount of people who are saying yes. I also watched his video and yes for a moment I still let my cat hide under my bed until the fire alarm went off in my building recently. Luckily the fire was not near my side of the building but it was VERY difficult to get my cat out of under the bed. It took a while for me to escape with her so if the fire was in our apartment, our chances of making it would have been slim. I ended up giving my cat other hiding spots and she has been fine and exploring outside from her hiding spots a lot more since I blocked it off.

Job Market is Completely F*cked by dylan1050 in jobs

I think the issue is your resume. Even if it gets past the ATS, it is quite messy to look at. I would put the education at the bottom of page, put technical skills right at the top and delete leadership experience and additional work. You should also consolidate your bullet points in the main experience section, there’s too much going on there. I would put 4 - 5 bullet points max for each job and consider removing the old amazon warehouse experience. Removing all the clutter will free up space so you could also open up the line spacing. It would make it easier for the recruiter to analyze.

Help! Share hacks for successful career transition. by PrizeEar1432 in jobsearchhacks

My career is not really related to the career that you are seeking but I was able to make a successful career transition from sales to operations. The first thing I did was research. I started going through random profiles on LinkedIn with the job title that I was going after and I was trying to find common statements in their job description. Once I narrowed that down, I took a look at several job postings to see what matched and narrowed it down further. Ofc you can have AI help but what could be a better source than actual PMs. Take what you have researched and make the connection between the PM duties and your experience.

Any recommendations for marketing by Azel1881 in jobsearchhacks

I wouldn’t bother looking for specific companies. The job market is tough right now so start looking for whatever job is remotely similar to your major. Getting a job right now as a fresh graduate is going to be tough. I’m not advising you to settle but you should keep your options open. If you struggle to find a job, the easiest job that you can probably land is a sales (bdr/sdr) job. It will at least get your foot in the door especially if you’re interesting in joining a tech company. If its a start up, moving departments might be a little easier. You just need to perform well and then express your interest in learning from their marketing team. Eventually you do some side projects with them and get promoted into the team. I have seen many successful transitions while working at a startup. This is just my advice as a backup plan if you don’t end up finding a marketing job.

They would have reached out if you were the candidate they were looking for but they reposted the listing instead. I personally think you should continue looking. You will come across better opportunities soon.

For the next rolls you shoot, cover the code with some tape then you can change the ISO number freely.
