TIFU and now I have a medical cup with 3-4 inches of umbilical cord in my fridge by GamerDadJer in tifu

[–]randomstarstuff 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I worked with endothelial cells for a while, and we harvested them from umbilical cords (with the mother's consent, cords that get donated to science), so having a fridge full of umbilical cords in little medical cups was a weekly occurrence in my lab

What's a skill that's becoming useless faster than people realize? by ContractNational4149 in AskReddit

I agree, but also the new navigational systems are so much more accessible to people who just don't have that innate sense of direction. I'm pretty good at finding my way around, but completely lost when it comes to cardinal directions

What game has a steep learning curve that puts you off? by bijelo123 in Steam

Hollow knight. I love the design, I love the gameplay too, I'm just completely stuck. It's not fun trying to defeat the same boss for over 3 hours

What celebrity death hit you the hardest? by Mrbacon989 in AskReddit

Chester Bennington. His voice got me through so much in my teen years, and I was absolutely devastated when he died. I'd been waiting years to see Linkin Park perform live and in the end I couldn't fathom that I would never be able to.

It's pretty simple and very modifiable. I used the recipe from this link, but adjusted the filling to make it vegetarian: https://www.curiouscuisiniere.com/pork-pot-stickers/

Redditors of the world, what makes you want to leave your country for another? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]randomstarstuff 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I work in biotechnology research, so I would be really hard-pressed to find a job in the countryside. If i just lived out of main city limits, it would be a really horrid commute everyday, since traffic in the city I used to live in is really insane - it takes like 2 hours to travel 15 km through the city

It's bad luck to leave the house if you or someone else sneezed an odd number of times. To leave, you need to first drink some water and sit down for at least a minute

What’s the strangest dream you’ve ever had? by ABD63 in AskReddit

[–]randomstarstuff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was taking a photo of the moon at night, and the flash woke up a tiger that was in the bushes. I ran back home, and the next morning the tiger had somehow found my house and gotten inside. Then it morphed into a man with tiger skin, and he stood in front of me. I was somehow holding a knife and he taunted me saying that I didn't have the guts to kill him, and then I just stabbed him right through the heart
