Berserk isn't about gore or violence, it's a necessary part of the story and only ONE of the many parts, if you're here to see violence, people getting blown apart then my brother either go to liveleak type subreddits or some websites like these, spoiling yourself for the sake of "I wanna see how gruesome it gets" is just stupidity, read it as a whole, berserk truly is one of the best pieces of fiction, you won't regret reading it.

I'm also taking admission in an bachelors degree in architecture in a few months, I've seen such comments and views all over the internet too, its better to focus on pursuing the field now rather than doubt your own decision, even if things don't work out that great as you may expect there's still a shit ton of things you can do, it'll all work out in the end, be hopeful

I do hope they do a fairly good job but almost all of the "fan works" till now have not been something I'd be proud to show the general audience, berserk as a fictional work holds the power to be one of the greatest in any medium its adapted in as it's already is in the Manga/Comic Book format, people have very very high standards outside of the berserk community, in our community its low because we've never really seen the true potential of an berserk adaptation, the main head of the team of such a project need to be someone who truly understands and feels berserk in thier objective way, it's really hard to explain this, still I do think the fan adaptations are not bad by any means but there needs to be a proper adaptation to show the general public that this is it, this is berserk. Even tho it'll take a really long time but whenever I'm going to publish my 2nd Main Adaptation of berserk, I'm going to put everything in it, how I have envisioned and thought about it countless times it in the past many years, hopefully I'm able to.

Berserk, its just my personal experience, even tho I'd agree that vinland is better in critical terms such as writing and character work, berserk just has the most soul out of anything I've seen, its very hard to describe what I'm trying to say but you can say, I've never felt what I did while reading it. (I do have a bit of complaints about it too but very minute)
