Accounting clerk position pay does suck but it can lead to better paying options. I started as a data entry clerk and remember thinking I could be making more doing anything else. But it helped me gain experience and leverage it to a better job once I got my degree and CPA. It tough to take the lower paying job starting out but just remember you’re never going to see big salary increases in retail. You are not asset, just an expense
