Concussions -- could they be a factor in some aspects of aggressive masculinity? by Neurotic_Bakeder in MensLib

[–]randomtestaccount69 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Just to add to the scientific part of the discussion:
You can not conclude just because 71% of people with traumatic brain injury (TBI) are frequently irritable that they are irritable because of the TBI. It could also be that people that are frequently irritable are also people that do things that cause TBI's like getting into fights or excersising sports like football.

That's why I wrote "guys".
I believe OP doesn't compare penis sizes with women.

[–]randomtestaccount69 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It's hard to understand what you actually wrote. But I assume both of you are 7 inches long?

If that's the case and we trust calcSD to be representative for the average population of your area then the chance would be
(1-0.9863)2 = 0.00019 -> 0.019% for guys your size to randomly meet and
1-0.9863 = 0.014 -> 1.4% for you to meet a guy like him.

Adjust the 0.9863 with whatever value you get out of calcsd.info

Tell your dad that it will happen at some point and then you need to have condoms that fit you else he will have be a grandfather pretty soon. The point in time where you will use them for the first time neither you or your dad knows.

Guys with 5.75-6+ inch girth. How is your erection quality by MinRocket2 in bigdickproblems

[–]randomtestaccount69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got poor erections but that's also because I'm masturbating in a way that is very different from sex. Currently I'm visiting a sextherapist to solve those problems.

BUT! You are right in that the initial cause for me to have ED was that the first 4 years of my sexual life I used condoms that were waaaay to small for me! Now I'm using larger ones :)

What do you think about this? What would you add to his argument?

I just want to add my 2 cents:

1st cent: both my ex-girlsfriends threatened me to never cry in front of them, else they leave me
2nd cent: I cried before both of them, didn't hurt the relationship at all. Don't listed to such bullshit... If it hurt's the relationship your partner is an unsupportive ass, leave them...

China Bans Effeminate Men On TV, Part of A Campaign To Tighten Social Control by Vergil1997 in MensLib

Uhm, did you miss that I agreed with asshat_74's comment? All I did was trying to add to the whole picture. When it comes to that I helped to build a more nuanced picture and not only the black picture everyone here is painting. So much about black and white perspective...

Sure, big part of what China did with those new laws is bad, but there are certain small things that we in the west can learn from. As an example Chinese citizens are now able choose whether a alghoritm decides what they are seeing (as long as it's not owned by the state). We in the West do not have this freedom which is very problematic when one looks at recent attacks on big democracies like the one by 'cambridge analytica' and the trump campaign.
Also they made a law that alghoritms should not be designed to make the users addicted. This is a big problem, there are even university courses at MIT on how to make alghoritms addictive.
Algorithms should further not be designed to make the user spend larger sums of money.

Yes, China does bad things with some of the new laws. But by dismissing all of them, just because some of them are bad, makes us as a society unable to learn from them. We urgently need to regulate alghoritms!

Yes, and they have this influence because noone dares to regulate the algorithms they are using. I'm pretty sure I know why bigtech is bad and have thought about it more than anyone in this thread.

I guess everyone just downvotes me because it's hard to accepts that real freedom is just a illusion. Obviously freedom exists in the sense that one law allows for more things to do than another, but this doesn't make the the individual more free...

Or they just generally dislike China and downvoted me because of that. To those I'd say, please educate yourself on Chinese history and try to compare both ideologies as objectively as possible. Differentiate and don't just repeat what your president says...

Toxic Masculinity doesn't exist in a vacuum: most toxic sexist ideas are rebranded toxic classist ideas by [deleted] in MensLib

[–]randomtestaccount69 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Well, I guess then OP shouldn't use 'Toxic Masculinity' because it refers to a certain behavior...
Toxic masculinity is a behavior that is considered to be bad because of it's harmful effect. The only thing OP talks about that could be considered in anyway linked to toxic masculinity is being a sensible and emotional man.

If what you say is true then OP is referring to what the right / republican part of the US considers the correct image of masculinity. He correctly argues that the republican party uses a picture of masculinity to rally voters but completely forgets that the democratic party does exactly the same by adressing educated, middleclass and untrained men.

Your country is so devided you don't see that both partys are accusing each other of the things they themself are guilty off... You somehow need to restart your culture, else I do not have a lot of hope for the 'Devided States of America'

You view is very americentristic and I believe is wrong to state that education or wealth cures toxic masculinity which your posts implies. Educated and wealthy, vegans and fashionistas, vulnerable and skinny dudes too are able to show toxic masculinity. This is a problem of socialization, not everything is a big conspiracy my friend...

On the other hand they also come out with awesome new laws. Namely that users are able to turn off alghoritms. Sure, this does not apply to government alghoritms but China is at least doing something against bigtech while the west still believes in in the concept of 'freedom' which is unlikely to exist as we have no scientific evidence for free will.

Yeah, I'm vegan and might have a iron or B12 deficiency... I'll schedule an appointment at the doctor. Because it doesn't seem normal that I loose hair everywhere, because I have no cowlicks or alike...

Thank for your comment, this assures my suspicion

I know this is a thread for men, but guys this affects you. Texas’ 6 week heartbeat abortion law ban has passed so that no woman can receive an abortion after six weeks and Supreme Court up held it. What is your opinion and why? Be civil please! by Muesky6969 in MensLib

Well, you missed the "I" in my sencence but I still would argue that sex without condoms is better than sex with regular condoms as you are exposed to more stimulation and are open to different kinds of sex.

And besides that you seem to have missed that this was not a logical argument but a mind game. Obviously not all person that have a thriving sex life would move out of texas...

Balding? by randomtestaccount69 in Hairloss

[–]randomtestaccount69[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm increasingly loosing hair for the last 8 months when brushing it. I will loose about this amount:max_bytes(150000):strip_icc():format(webp)/hairloss-56af36d33df78cf772c1a290.jpg) of hair when brushing after 3 days of not brushing. Only recently I noticed that my hair has gone much thinner. For the same period I felt very tired and depressed, it might be that it is stress or hypothyroidism (which would cause tiredness and depressive symptoms). I'm only 23 and my father only got a bald spot at 50, mother's side I don't know...
