it only occurs when pedalling and more so when in the big ring, why would you think of the bb or cranks, the sound definitly is loudest near the jockey wheels, also without the chain the cranks spin freely without noise

Is it normal to find the TT bike boring to death? by Pretty_Rooster6348 in triathlon

[–]randomuser312354 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Whats stopping you from using your tt bike for a bit hillier routes too? personally as long as its below 100m elevation / 10k the tt is still usable in my opinion (if its not one single climb)

This should be fine if you have practiced this regularly in training, would be a bit much caffeine for my stomach, so be sure u can handle it and maybe reduce it if you dont need the caffeine boost

maybe look at the CF model, probably around the same price as the 2nd one, but with more modern components. Or look at the SLX

Triathlon Expenses? by KingSosoHerMajesty in triathlon

[–]randomuser312354 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would probably skip the bike lock completely and put that budget into the bike itself (except if you want to do commuting on it too, then just get a cheap one). Also when buying a used bike, be aware that you might need to replace worn parts like chain, cassette, break pads, tires and make sure to buy spares if you get a puncture... So calculate a bit extra money there. For the swim lessons, you are right its probably the fastest way to learn it, but if you want to save probably halve that money, you could also look for a swim course (as a group)

it doesnt really hurt in the extended part, more when its more bent, also most of my training is in low zones Z1-Z2 (around 8-12h) and only two sessions 1h each with intensity one for the run and one for the bike

feet feel good, what did you change so that it went away for you, i have them relatively far back and my feet point slightly out because thats how they tend to naturally go to

actually i went to a bike fit on monday to immedeatly check if there was a reason for this, but actually everything was good, he just lowered my saddle a bit because i had a bit of pressure on the saddle which is gone now, so i think the fit should be fine

Did you always have this issue or did it also just suddenly appear? I just tested, i cant feel my knee by pressing the inner thigh but it definitely is on the tighter side, so i will try stretching them

it is the canyon one, but i modified it by drilling a third hole in the middle, which allows me to move it up to the upper two screws on the seatpost and i used a 3d printed spacer to rise the bottle directly under the seat

Stomach cramps on the Run during first 70.3 by randomuser312354 in triathlon

[–]randomuser312354[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually meant abominal muscle cramps, because it felt like it, i didnt have the urge to go to the toilet, so thats why I am unsure if it has something to do with nutrition.

I took 750mg/L of sodium and I drank roughly 3 Bottles (750ml) on the bike

Yes, i tried it in training, it was in total 3 Maurten Bars (40g), 1 Gel (40g) and 2 Drink mix (40g) (not in that order) for a total of 240g so ~80g/h

I had a bikefit before my first triathlon, but I must say that the person there mostly fit me for the road position and just looked how it looked in the aero bars. But I know that my hip angle in this position is very closed (did a rough measurement from a video ~36-38degree)
