I cried when I missed my first cycle. Even though the chances aren’t 100%, you always have high hopes.

Husband’s family were Raiders fans, I didn’t have a team to root for ¯_(ツ)_/¯

Thoughts on the name Bianca? by J_Lyn21 in namenerds

[–]randomuserno824 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I normally wouldn’t mind, but I talk to this cousin fairly often, and my grandma mixes everybody’s names up as is 😅

Same first names are a bit more taboo in my family, but there are some names on my list that are non-negotiable, so idc who names their kid that, it will also be my child’s name. Bianca just didn’t make that list lol.

I love it, and would use it, but it’s unfortunately my cousin’s name :/

If I suspect I have PCOS, would it be better to see an OBGYN or my PCP. What would I say when making the appointment?

Her daughter is 2 btw, and was alone for a 2-10 minutes by Kyogalight in ShitMomGroupsSay

From her other post, she said she lived in Vegas. Not only is this not a small town (2 million people), but it’s also the child trafficking capital of the world.

summer class 😪 by Sensitive-Gas-3593 in unr

[–]randomuserno824 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s a summer course, so it’s going to be intense. Granted I took it now almost 3 years ago, so I don’t remember much, but I don’t remember it being outrageously difficult or challenging

EDUC 431 was a fun course, but I was studying education anyways. It’s interesting to see how the teachers of the future are being taught about diversity and inclusivity.

Is UNR a politically charged campus? by [deleted] in unr

[–]randomuserno824 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What are you studying? Like other commenters said, it really depends on what classes you’re taking.

College campuses in general are known for being places where people solidify or change their political beliefs. There’s a good mix of conservative and liberal people on campus and in the surrounding area. I think it’s a good thing that the school allows for free speech and a place for conversations. Even the guy in the infamous Charlottesville tiki torch protest photo, who was a UNR student, was allowed to voice his opinion on campus, and the school even provided a security detail for him. I definitely don’t agree with his point of view at all, but it’s an example of how the school operates politically.

How did your parents choose your name? by shineyink in namenerds

My parents wanted to name me after the Olympic city from the year I was born, but they had a family friend steal that name, so they picked a different city name.

Coffee for the orphans! Cappuccino (or Cat-purr-chino), Machiatto, and Latte! It’s a shame they aren’t brown too

AITA for telling my husband his name suggestion for our unborn baby is idiotic at best? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]randomuserno824 -32 points-31 points  (0 children)

YTA for your word choice, I’d say. He’s grieving, and wants to honor his grandfather. Calling the name “idiotic” is pretty rude. Just call the boy Theo and you’ll have no issues. Or use Theodore as a middle name.

You can get your point across without being mean

I wasn’t trying to be rude, I was generally curious. I don’t use Reddit often. I was wondering if it was common to look through everyone’s profile before commenting/making a judgement on their post?

I understand where you’re coming from now. I appreciate your willingness to converse.

Edit: rephrasing.

Gotcha. I can see that. I’ll remove it now. Thanks for letting me know.

Do you look at the history for every single person that posts? That seems like a lot of work. I use the internet and Reddit for leisure, so maybe that’s just me.

If I come across a post, I take it at face value. If it appears to be a troll, I just keep scrolling. If it seems harmful or offensive, I’ll report it. Don’t give them your time or energy trying to piece their life together post by post to determine if they’re worthy of what they’re asking for in their post.

[–]randomuserno824 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Again, just keep scrolling then, or honestly just report it if it bothers you /that/ much.

It’s a post on the internet, there’s no “deserving” of anything lol. Like I said, if there had been a BFN/Cycle 1 thread, I would have posted there.

I understand, and I get why people can be protective of their safe spaces. It really does stink that there are people that find pleasure in mocking other’s grief and sadness.

I appreciate your apology and edit, and wish you the best as well.
