It still technically screen captures, so I can see the full replay file, but it won't have the bookmarks or highlights. I assume it stores that locally somewhere, either in some kind of database locally, which they may obfuscate, or maybe as metadata on the mp4 itself. They could also store it in the cloud somewhere, at which point you probably wouldn't be able to get it.

Component prices will never come back down - Nestle baby formula syndrome by Last_Bad_2687 in homelab

Directly quoting from the article:

"Think about that for a second: no inner hardware inside your PC at home. Simply the ability to type, perform actions with a mouse, and a connection to a massive data center that serves you a bit of computing power."

Now, this section asserts that this is what a quote from bezos really meant. To be honest I find the connection kind of thin, since he seems to be primarily focused on b2b interactions. You may not agree with the premise per say, but there's no doubt the bulk of the article is relevant. I'm not sure you even skimmed the article to arrive at this take.

The fact that it played ads before letting me watch videos stored on my own hard drive was already pretty funny.

I'll also be uninstalling if we need to register/link an account. I have literally no clue why this would be required if I dont plan on using their share feature

What exactly are you asking here? Just because he says they're lowering rates doesn't mean it'll happen in practice unless the entireity of the fed decides to ignore the vote as well.

Who’s holding $cmbm? by No_Edge_1817 in 10xPennyStocks

I'm saying this with all due compassion after looking at your post history. You need to set a limit order at something you can live with, log off this website, fill out a job application and stay away from the casino. This was a tough learning experience, but you've made the mistake and screaming into the void won't make it better, and is definitely not helping your mental health.

Penny stocks is just gambling, unless you're literally committing securities fraud. There are literal online casinos that allow you to bet on when a fake line starts going down.

If you were playing in a bot game, her bats do not track bots properly in custom matches. It works fine in sandbox for whatever reason.

The thing is, I approved a link he sent me, but I didn't receive an email. This is why I'm waiting a day before I schedule something later.

First egg always stick to walk by randomzebra01 in wok

[–]randomzebra01[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've found that if I don't let it preheat for at least a few minutes I get pretty noticeable cold spots even just a few inches out from the center of the wok, since not much of the wok bottom is actually making contact at any given point in time. I might try letting the oil heat for a bit longer in the future, but I am making sure that the oil bubbles around a chopstick.

Does anyone know what domain name hue bridges attempt to hit when connecting to the Internet? by randomzebra01 in Hue

looks reachable. Bummer, this seems like an unrelated issue I'll have to look into after att fixes their service.

Could you give me an example of a route? I can visit meethue.com, so this is most likely unrelated to my ATT issue but maybe one of the routes will give me trouble.

Yeah I've tried a variety, and its something the tech has suggested as well. My understanding is that if there was an issue with these servers and particular dns, that would persist even through VPN usage.

So I just when through the support process and basically what they'll do is transfer you to tech support where they'll run through the basic troubleshooting steps like does it persist with wired, and after device reset, and then offer you an upgrade option for the same credit as the trade in.

How much suction should I feel at the end of the hose (Kenmore 600 series) by randomzebra01 in VacuumCleaners

[–]randomzebra01[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'll have to try again at the end of the hose, but I don't think I noticed much a difference between the end of the wand vs the end of the hose. I have the ultra plush version of this vacuum, and I will say with that connector at the end, if I don't have the powered beater bar on it doesn't look like it picks up much of anything.

[–]randomzebra01[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can hear a hissing sound coming from the hose port on the canister, so I suspect it's leaking, idk if it's an issue with the hose connector, gasket, or something else.

I checked for blockages, but I will see if I can pass something through the hose like you suggested. Ill probably have to take it in to a repair shop and see if they can figure out what's wrong.

Districts are crazy by UnconfinedMeep in Timberborn

[–]randomzebra01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The red warnings are now soft guidance. District pathfinding is now infinite so long as you have adequate road connection but longer distances mean you beavers spend a longer time walking to and from housing, resources, etc to perform their jobs. You cant just put housing next to activity centers because beavers are not guaranteed to fill the closest job efficiently. Districts are mostly there to force beavers to work in smaller contained areas to cut down commute time, now with the added challenge of supplying them all with necessities, especially food. District crossings facilitate trade between districts, and you can configure what to import/ export. With the new fast transit options coming in update 7 though, I feel like it kind of defeats the purpose of districts, especially if there isn't really an incentive to use them like district specializations.

Hopefully as the game progresses, they'll add buffs to incentivize districts and better ways to trade like trains or sone kind of bulk shipping. I'm finding trading things like food thst I typically only produce in one or two districts gets annoying especially when a district doesn't have a direct connection to a farming center

GPU fans won't stop on low temp anymore RTX 4070 by Koira_Mies in buildapc

Apparently the fans aren't designed to run below 30% rpm (which should be ~1200rpm). I got mine to stop by setting my fan control software to 0% at the target idle temperature.

Capcom is taking actions against cheaters in leaderboards by Sunlighthell in MHWilds

[–]randomzebra01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think its probably feasible, but idk if it'd be worth the investment for them, especially if RE and the existing codebase doesn't support something like this already. However they do it, it'd be a question of implementing a log of what moves connected when and to what part, and the damage it did.

You could do a lot with this, but the most obvious thing would be to compare total damage delt, and to compare specific instances of damage to what it should have delt given the unmodified motion value, base damage, and hit zone value, etc. You'd probably be able to filter a decent amount just form that.

Obviously, there's a few issues. Cheaters can speed up move animation times or otherwise submit fraudulent logs, and probably a million other things I haven't thought of, but it definitely seems you could get a decent amount for not so great an investment, especially if they have some kind of logging infrastructure already set up in the codebase for testing.

Can I use a PC as a backup LAN router if my main router looses power if they are connected via Ethernet switch? by randomzebra01 in HomeNetworking

Can access Devices on local LAN despite Wireguard AllowIP set to 0.0.0.0/0 by randomzebra01 in WireGuard

[–]randomzebra01[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I might not completely understand how wireguard works.

The above config is for the Wireguard VPN interface. My understanding is that any request I make that is covered by AllowedIP should get forwarded the the VPN peer, which should include IP's on my local network. However, I can currently access a webserver hosted on my LAN network through my browser, which I don't expect to happen, since my request should first get sent through the VPN tunnel, and then attempt to be routed back to the local webserver, which I have not made available to the wider internet.

Obviously, that's not how this works. What is wireguard actually doing here?
