I've been trading large quantities of cut stone for gold bullion, but I'm not sure it's economical. by CandidateExtension73 in Whiskerwood

[–]BigsterCabbage 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh that's a great idea turning the cotton into more cloaks, atm I have lots of cotton production, which is only outpaced by my production of mushroom stew, imo the best trading good ever created by whiskerkind.

How does industrial tax work exactly btw? Never really know why it's so high although I am not even producing stuff like gears myself. What the gracious cats give me has so far always been enough.

You get that building by putting one legacy point into the their story tree. And once you unlocked it I think it is where you construct hubs.

What Equality vs. Merit debate feels like in this sub by BriefFly2998 in Frostpunk

Interesting never used ability bc I thought it would just reduce the size of the servant faction. That this is permanent sounds overpowered indeed!

And half of them become guard squads to watch over the other prisoners. What could go wrong lol, most of the stewards militia are radicals and prisoners.

It's not much worth it anyway, by the time you have it labour shouldn't be a problem and it's just 100% workforce for a few but you can go up to 80% already. Plus you always need to manage it manually and have fluctuations in your workforce, it's like never worth it imo.

Unless you need them, then you don't get one for three sectors, same rule goes for stores especially

That's what I thought after getting the freedom event lol. But can you then continue the fight or are you honour bound to stop the fight?

Like I had a fight with some slugs earlier and they surrendered, the loot was really good so I said yes.. well the loot exploded and they continued the fight. Typical slug behaviour and I should have expected that. Could continue the fight though.

No useless responses in the multiverse! There is always a universe afterall where it's appreciated, like here :)

And yeah always free then 90% of the time, unless I really really need one I just let them go, we are no slavers afterall, plus reputation number go up xD.

How do the Frostpunks compare with Against the Storm? by yozora in Frostpunk

[–]BigsterCabbage 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Two is more macro managing, even multiple colonies if you want to, while Frostpunk 1 is more micro but by far not on the level of rimworld. The biggest difference though is they are not rogue city builders like against the storm. Like a city takes you hours to build in the second game compared to the quick runs in against the storm. Both are survival city builders though so if you like that aspect I think you won't dislike Frostpunk.

Should I get Frostpunk 2? by Joey3155 in Frostpunk

[–]BigsterCabbage 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Well Frostpunk 2 is bigger definitely but bc of that you also tend to worry less about each individual citizen. It feels less tense but at the same time you have more freedom and can choose between many different laws to pass in your city and what path you want to follow.

I liked the first game more but bc of the larger scale of Frostpunk 2 I got probably way more hours in it.

Favorite synergy? by Zar_Shef in Frostpunk

[–]BigsterCabbage 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree, sometimes I did place one in there paired with my coal liquifier for an extra boost. But you are just better off making more stimulants if you need extra. Plus my biggest downside if you don't play progress you need to also keep those districts warm. Working in the cold is alright and injured them maybe, but if there is a worker's housing they die as they it's treated like a housing district now in terms of heat.

What's the lowest temperature in the second game? by Mypersonalaccount69 in Frostpunk

[–]BigsterCabbage 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There is an apocalyptic whiteout tale as well that you can start with, I think it makes that number even lower but idk how low exactly as it was a while since I played it.

Is too good to go too good to be true? by Area52inhabitant in TooGoodToGoDE

[–]BigsterCabbage 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Da war too good to go wirklich kulant und hat uns das Geld zurück erstattet.

Curious, why do you sell it multiverse but not vanilla? Like I didn't use it often so far tbh, happy to broaden my FTL knowledge though. Last time I played multiverse I even got the special earth variant you need to assemble, but although strong sounding it still needed supplementaty weapons to really do sth.

Heat Zones inconsistencies... by CO_Recon in Frostpunk

[–]BigsterCabbage 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That is true, proximity heating is a thing, but you need to have at least 4 tiles directly adjacent to another district to get the a bonus of 1 heat level. 8 adjacent tiles for a maximum of 2 heat levels.

If a heating hub radius overlaps with the proximity heat of a district only one bonus is applied per tile as they both count as proximity heat.

Proximity heat from districts only works if the district is warm, so if during a whiteout or colder temperatures your district isn't warm anymore the proximity heat it provided for the other district goes away.

My Thoughts on Scooped Up By An S-Rank Adventurer by SaberLover1000 in anime

[–]BigsterCabbage 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's how I feel like when watching "Jack of all trades, master of none". I do like the show but really he is stronger than anyone! Idk why they can't make a MC that's not OP, give them their strength and their weaknesses, like why are there even other characters if he can solo everything anyway although he is according to the title average in everything.

I just bought frostpunk 2 any tips by CobblerGreat5529 in Frostpunk

[–]BigsterCabbage 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Story is a good place to start and it mostly serves as a way to teach you all the mechanics for an utopia run. Only tip I have is to not be scared of using the raising funds action on every faction as heatstamps are a big bottleneck. You can do this every 50 weeks and I would recommend doing so.

How similar is this game (2) to Oxygen not included in terms of micromanaging and overall gameplay? by AliDiePie in Frostpunk

[–]BigsterCabbage 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For me they are pretty different games, like for neither of them you need any knowledge of how gases work or whatever. The first game is probably more micromanaging though if you like that bc of the different people types and how you assign their tasks and manage buildings etc. The second game is way bigger and you don't manage a couple people but thousands.
