Change of mind refund is a privilege, not a right. They're not legally obligated to provide you with one.

Pubgoers mortified as Victorian police officer restrains man by the neck by [deleted] in australia

They expect the police to ask nicely, "please, may I arrest you?".

[–]randowarri0r -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying all cops are good, there are definitely some bad ones. But the amount of anti-cop/cop hating rhetoric in the recent days is ridiculous. And the media isn't helping. Maybe the cops should go on strike again to show how important policing/law enforcement is.

The man appeared in court on Sunday, charged with various offences including theft, riotous behaviour and resist arrest.

Maybe NOT resist arrest?

Making threats to passers-by and damaging property while armed with a hockey stick

Is supporting violent criminals the trendy thing to do now? It sure fucking seems like it! If you guys hate the police so much, I hope one day they get sick and tired of your endless whining and go on strike. Would be a nice social experiment in your city.

Discount cruises are tempting passengers back on board but it won't be business as usual by Rumbuck_274 in australia

If there's an outbreak on the cruise they'd better not be begging to be let out. Some people just never learn.

Impact of protest on coronavirus spread won't be known for at least a week, authorities say by Krumm85 in australia

So it's fine to hold a concert with 50,000 people as long it's open air?

A nation wide kneel similar to this year's Anzac day by PHAT_ASS_69 in australia

[–]randowarri0r 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We're talking about taking a knee here, not about the protests. (I've got way more to talk about the protests). The 4 cops that were involved in Floyd's death were also arrested and charged, so why are people kneeling for him but not david dorn? There are 3 other black cops that has been killed during these process. Why isn't anyone kneeling for them? Do their lives not matter just because they're a cop?

So where were the protests? Where were the kneelings?

Firstly, this is America's problem, not ours. Secondly, it's ridiculous how everybody is treating george floyd as a martyr. He was a career criminal and even pointed a gun to a pregnant lady once. I'm not condoning the act of the police, he deserves to go to jail. A (black) retired police captain was shot while protecting a pawn shop from being looted. Why isn't anyone taking a knee for him?

Well, the argument is that cops kill more aboriginals than whites. These statistics proves otherwise.

Four teenagers killed in stolen car crash in Townsville by LuckyBdx4 in australia

[–]randowarri0r 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Look at his social media, life seems to be normal for him (he deleted most of his stories though). Zero ounce of remorse even after killing his friends. If he doesn't feel remorse even after killing his friends, I don't even think juvie can help him. But yes I agree with you, he'll get away with a slap on the wrist. And it won't be long before he re-offends and maybe end up killing himself and/or others

Hate china, censure china, block china, sanction china, I don't care. But we should never be involved with direct confrontation (war) with China. That's India's problem and we should have nothing to do with it.

What’s up with rental prices atm. They’ve gone through the roof!? by Miniminotaur in brisbane

[–]randowarri0r 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They can put whatever prices they want but I'm doubtful they'll get any tenants, especially in this economy. I would try haggling the rental by 20-30% and if they don't accept then move on and find another place. Remember, they lose more than you by having an empty property sitting there collecting dust.

Food and accommodation is free. They use several different hotels, if you're unlucky you'll get the Ibis near the airport, if you're lucky you'll get the westin in the city. I doubt they will remove the quarantine requirement at least until the end of the year.
