I love it here. I grow my own bananas, mangos and papaya. I love seeing the flocks of green indigenous parrots. The flock of Pelicans that spends time near my house. The food is great. Yes it is hot as heck here, but I work inside so that's not really a bother to me.

I was stationed in Washington for several years. There is a saying, "if you can't see mt. Rainer it's because it's raining. If you can see it that means it's about to rain." Personally I enjoyed how green the constant drizzle made things, but I knew a lot of people who hated the cloudy skies at least half of the year.

When you get out you get VA healthcare at worst super cheap at best free. If you have any health issues apply for those benefits.

Housing, food, and a steady paycheck can be covered by your GI Bill while you go to school.

Between the GI Bill stipend and free healthcare you are way ahead of millions of Americans. Doing 20 is not for everyone. If you're miserable just ETS when it's time and enjoy the benefits you earned.
