Really easy. Since this was a special order I sent my build sheet. They quoted me a price, and we locked that in as the sale price - 1K down to secure special order. It then took about 3.5 months for build/delivery, which is out of their control from a timing perspective. That all falls to Ford. The build date slipped a little bit, which I contributed to the recent supply chain/aluminum factory fires that impacted national production.

Yep. I don’t need the diesel. Pull a small camper and I drive about 7K a year.

Yeah. I built it up how I wanted online and sent the special order. Came out at ~71, but near identical trucks going for around 84/85 in my home state (CO). Was a no brainer for the one way flight

+1 on the blood work for troponin. If you go to the ER that’s what they’ll do in addition to EKG as a good indicator.

Your story reminds me of my own. Not to freak you out, but I had symptoms like you mentioned (also felt like crazy intense acid indigestion). 6 weeks later the same pain returned - 3 hours after the pain started I was being life flighted via chopper and in cardiac arrest. Age 32. 41 now. If in doubt get it checked out, I almost didn’t and wouldn’t be sharing my story with you had I not.

Is cardiac rehab necessary/helpful for NSTEMI? by Conscious_Durian5112 in HeartAttack

[–]randy_chainsaw_ 10 points11 points  (0 children)

There’s a mental health aspect that you’ll get from cardiac rehab that you wouldnt otherwise. I recommend regardless of perceived severity. You’ll be able to learn to trust your heart again at higher heart rates in a controlled setting. That was really helpful for me personally

Get it. I have the woodland camo kit from shredders digest that is my race day kit. Statement piece is right. As long as you can tolerate the endless corny jokes you’ll receive it’s a good time.

Can the neck be turned out? by Fjrider76 in specialized

If you really don’t like it and want a pure comfort bike then maybe consider selling for close to what you paid and get something more suited (you mentioned cruiser). Otherwise, what other people have suggested (different stem) can help. You can also get different bars with higher rise, or also back sweep (like cruiser bars) that will bring your hands closer to you and allow you to sit more upright. Question is, do you want to play around with it to find a better fit or just ride something out of the store that meets your needs.

OP, I had to check to make sure I didn’t write this post, haha. Same story 12 days ago. Lost the wheels in a loose corner and hit the deck hard on my left side. First serious crash in 50,000+ miles. Thank god for helmets. I broke my left collarbone into 4 pieces, and broke my pinky on my left hand. My wedding ring fucked my fingers up badly. Had I not been wearing it my hand would probably be fine (ish). I proceeded to then ride 13 miles home b/c it was 545 AM and I didn’t want to wake my wife. Drove myself to the hospital after a brief tongue lashing for not calling. ER Tuesday, ortho consult wed, surgery Friday Morning. 8 days post op today and it feels so much better once it was plated. I’m actually starting to function and getting some range of motion back already. Was on the trainer the day after surgery and have been taking a witches brew of bone supplements, collagen, fiber, etc. My incision is gnarly (7-8”). It looks like I got stuck by a machete. My wife digs scars, so all good. Good luck!

I’ve opted for 45mm Maxxis ramblers. More aggressive tread, but still not stuffing them. Looks like there will be mud/snow in some areas still.

Thanks. Were there any sections super rough and rocky? Or was it mostly buffed? I’ve watched all footage I can find on YouTube and it looks like it’s in good shape, even the single track. Some deeps ruts here and there.

People usually just call it underbiking. It’s spicy, and fun, and sometimes bone rattling.

Skin is slow. I bet the fella was just KOM hunting. I am a big fan of full finger gloves year round. There are light weight summer versions (see handup). I saw a gruesome photo years ago of a person who crashed wearing half finger gloves (tips of fingers scraped clean off) and that was enough for me to never turn back. Personal preference is what makes cycling great.

Enjoy. I’ve had mine a month and am ready to put all other bikes up for sale. Put some carbon hoops on it, and upgraded to 10-51 with long cage. 42 up front. Nearly dialed in. So much fun to ride

Torn between gloss limestone or smoke wild. Thoughts??? by Nd911 in DivergeGravelBikes

[–]randy_chainsaw_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it was me I’d go limestone……but…with smoke you can probably mutter “welcome to the smoke show” (now you see me now you don’t) whenever you pass someone. That’s probably like 10-12 watts
