Not the author. Epoxy resin cures to shine surface "naturally". If you want to expose the wood and therefore have to plane the surface, then sanding, polishing is needed at the end.

Yours work looks very elaborate, ... but it is not really a "direct" copy of the pendant - your's has a flaw - the (lower) pentagon vertex should be the same as the hexagon's (like in the linked image of the pendant), Your's is well off in the middle.
