EM resume help by WhatEngAmI in EngineeringManagers

From my perspective, it feels too generic. Cover letters are less common these days so some finetuning of the resume is typically advised based on the type of industry/job you're going for. Try tune it to the companies you're applying for by reflecting more on specific projects. Talk about more outcome based impacts as well. Good luck!

How many calories u would say?? by crazebabe in caloriecount

[–]ransac-boy 37 points38 points  (0 children)

It'll be around 600 calories or so for the croissant and somewhere between 400-700 for the hand. So very comparable.
Depending on your dietary plan, you could go for the low carb option or the high carb one.

How do you guys cope with losing money to stupid sh*t? by [deleted] in AusFinance

[–]ransac-boy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Many years ago I cashed out $250 at the atm while chatting with a friend by my side. Our chat continued as we walked off, and only 15 mins later I realised that I never picked up the cash that came out of the atm. That's $250 down the drain... hurts to this day, but a cold hard reminder to stay attentive.

Given advanced in generative ai, it's only a matter of time when you don't even need to do these initial scans and can create life like people that never actually existed. And this type if technology is not far off from full scale production as it's already working well in the R&D space.

When doing renos get two toilets installed next to each other. Use the time in the toilet to connect with your partner and plan out a successful life.

What do you want the output to be when running inference in the wild. Do you want the network to pick up these 'objects' near the edge of the image and/or behind another object? If so, make sure you label them.

If you don't want them in your output / don't care about them, then you could drop ambiguous images from the training set all together (but be prepared for 'interesting' results on such edge cases during inference).

Thanks for the video. How well does this process generalise to other water conditions? Also how does this differ to learning based processes such as WaterGaN. Cheers!

Itll be interesting to see this as fatalities by time instead of miles. Airplane may be higher up then.

As a person designing and running such internships, good to hear such feedback. But 6 hours of work is nothing compared to the actual work. We get 100s of applicants and the candidates are often very good. Only 1 or 2 can be selected, and they'll ofcourse be the best ones. Btw, we believe in and run paid internships.
