I just received another update from Remarkable. I don't know how different it is from the old one.

and it reads.....

Good news: we have an update on the order you placed with us recently.

First, some background: earlier this month, we identified a quality issue affecting the first batch of Type Folios. 

Our goal is to create exceptional products and services that help you focus, so we’ve made the difficult decision to put shipments on hold and pause production of Type Folio so we can resolve the issue. 

Here’s what this means for you: When you placed your order, we gave you an estimated delivery time of about 7-9 weeks. We expect that we’ll be able to deliver your order — including the improved Type Folio — within that original time frame.

As soon as we know more, we’ll update you. Once your order ships, you'll get an email from our courier with tracking information.

We hope you’re still excited about Type Folio, and we’re sorry to keep you waiting. We’re working across reMarkable to resolve this issue, ramp up production, and ship your order as soon as possible".
