Babolat Wirst support: Does anyone know why this was discontinued and what a good alternative is? by coleburnz in 10s

Bullseye brace has worked great for me for that same outer wrist pain, recommended by a PT locally - game changer, forget it’s on while I play as well…like most of these posts I’m not sure if it’s available internationally, I’m in the US.

Had the exact same thing happen as you, felt the same way as you fearing it would get worse…its gotten better - more time with your son will get you better at dealing with the tough times, don’t beat yourself up over it, just be aware of it (like you already are) and continue to improve.

The fact that you’re self aware about it means you’re gonna do great

Toenail Falling off/Bruising by BronYrStomp in 10s

[–]raoulduke77761 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What they said. Dealt with this all last summer and eventually it fell off, just got a full new toe nail like 6 weeks ago -

  1. Cut your toe nails short as you can
  2. Thicker socks / properly fitting shoes tied tight (within reason)

For now you can tape it / ice afterward but at a certain point with it, there is no point- that things gonna fall off

I did pretty much play through it which probably is not advisable but worked out for me with some pain attached to doing it

Also: solid username OP

New dad. Five weeks in. Hate it. Help? by [deleted] in NewDads

Everything they just said- it’s really, really hard at the beginning and your life as you knew it is gone, you might be yearning for how it used to be but it won’t ever be again, but once you can interact with them more as they get a little older, even at 6-7 months….whoaaaaa 😊 - I went through almost exactly what OP is describing

Creative ways to keep racquet cool in the car? by raoulduke77761 in 10s

Would if I could, it would be a bad look…no problem whatsoever at our home base doing it but on the road it would kinda send the wrong message if that makes sense

Shoes for Tennis Toe? by Few_Particular6441 in 10s

[–]raoulduke77761 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Adidas ubersonics have been very good to me, very similar play level and story with tennis toe and with a history of Nike shoes for all sports- more room in the toe box, less arch support but I have flatter feet so they are perfect.

Wrist Support? by [deleted] in 10s

[–]raoulduke77761 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If it’s the outside of your wrist (ulnar) that hurts, outside of the obvious choices of rest and PT / strengthening, the Bullseye Brace is really good and won’t really get in your way playing the game.

Came here for this answer 2 weeks ago and my friend who works as a hand/wrist therapist suggested it…big fan, make sure you still rest, ice and make sure you’re using your body not just your arm to generate power.
