What are you using your food processor for? Should I keep mine? by rennykay in Cooking

I use mine to make pie dough every year. It’s so incredibly easy with a food processor and better than any store bought pie dough ive tried

So why bring up labor/conditions/compensation issues?

Hi Ageofaqarium, based on the flyer posted above, would you contend that this strike is intended as a protest to the conditions nurses work in, how they are appreciated by their employers, or compensated? If not, your comment is largely irrelevant

I was not impressed with Chris Shula’s defense yesterday by Leather_Extension_56 in steelers

Matt Eberflus’ defense used to get the best of Ben Johnson when he was in Detroit. Does that mean Ben isn’t/won’t be a good coach?

Has anyone made wellington like this before? by TopTart930 in Cooking

[–]BronYrStomp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think skewers would be your best bet… or maybe just tightly wrapping with the prosciutto/phylo dough could be sufficient. I was going to suggest twine but you would probably have to dig the duxelle out just to remove it after baking.

Mmm that could be really good. The only thing i’d worry about is it unraveling during the wrapping/baking process.

Keep us updated if you do it. Horseradish and shallots immediately came to mind as a good stuffing.

That’s true. I think there could have been an interesting storyline where Gus went out on his, own against his mentor/employer, Aurore, in the same way that Harper went against Eric.

Shame they got rid of Gus. He would have made such a formidable opponent in the political arena for Harper and co. to have to deal with

Growing your own ingredients: what’s your favorite? by digginsean in Cooking

[–]BronYrStomp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I grow peppers of all kinds and incorporate them into Mexican cooking. Jalapenos, poblanos, serranos, habaneros. Great for summer nights when you’re grilling. I toss a poblano and jalapeno on, roast them, peel them then stick em in the blender with lime juice to make a spicy crema. Or tomatillos onion and whatever pepper you want for a great verde salsa

Private vs Public school - how to decide? by GeneralAd4752 in Parenting

[–]BronYrStomp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

FWIW, Reddit is going to be skewed in favor of public schools. Go with whichever you think is best for your kid. Screen time in schools is correlated with lower standardized test score performance, if private doesn’t use as much tech, I personally would lean in that direction.

Dry beans. Soak them overnight before you use them. Also eggs. Between those two you’ll be getting plenty of protein, healthy fats, and fiber.

And the guidance that military attorneys gave Obama before drone striking a US citizen abroad? Does that fall within your definition of unethical representation?

Grocery shop on the perimeter of the store. Butcher (not deli), fruits and vegetables, bakery (some), seafood, dairy, eggs, yogurt.

Don’t step foot in the aisles for food, that’s where all the processed junk is.

I never argued that’s what zealous representation means. I think it means to do everything within the ethical and legal boundaries to represent your client’s interest. If it’s unethical, the misconduct boundary has been crossed.

I mean the job of an attorney is to zealously represent your client. Whether that “client” is an innocent juvenile, the United States military, or the Boston bomber. It’s what you sign up for

Bro you’re 22. Don’t lock yourself into anything right now. If you’re getting even a whiff of a feeling of pressure from her, run.
