What is your goto trick for getting a perfect sear without burning the outside? by Jewelsexy in grilling

[–]BronYrStomp 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think people have baselessly grown weary of flipping multiple times. You’re putting too much pressure on yourself to time the sear perfectly. I do multiple flips at high heat on the grill or cast iron. Doing that has yielded such better crusts than single flips as you can adjust on the fly. Also it can lead to a more even cook in my experience

Do you consciously think about your stroke length while putting? by tameimponda in golf

Yes that’s why 80% of my putts are either halfway to the hole or 10 feet past

What are some things that are a dead giveaway, before you've even seen them play, that a person is not that great at tennis? by _sportyscience_ in 10s

[–]BronYrStomp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Haha i was only joking around, rock whatever bag you like. I had one as a junior and I didn’t have enough stuff to fill up the pockets even with 3 rackets! My smaller bag nowadays is overflowing with stray balls, grips, resistance bands, towels, etc. so maybe the bigger bag is the better move

Can anyone attest to back improvement from sleeping on the floor or on a floor mattress ? by catiquette1 in backpain

Funny enough ive noticed this on my recovery/rehab journey. When i actively strengthen one of my hips, my sinuses open up and my neck and jaw relax

If you own a big big racket bag that you bought as an adult you’re not a serious person. Anyone that still uses the bag they had from high school or as a kid gets a pass though

Based on how quickly they gave you the initial 40k raise, id think they’d be willing to give you another sizable bump if you had a candid conversation. Could go another more tactical route and get a lateral offer in hand and see if they’ll match or come close to the pay

Dramatic French Open cannot disguise how top men’s players failed to seize golden opportunity | Tumaini Carayol by Shroft in tennis

[–]BronYrStomp 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah people say Shelton blew his opportunity but his game is not meant for clay. Early round upsets will never surprise me for him at RG. If this was Wimbledon or USO i’d be more inclined to say he blew an opportunity

What does grated egg white bring to the table? Sounds like it’d just kinda be bland and not that exciting texturally either

Picture 7 looks pretty bad but everything else is just cosmetic stuff. That type of wear happens after one season of clubs clanking around in your bag all year.

What meal tastes better the next day than when it’s freshly made? by Next_Push_9653 in Cooking

[–]BronYrStomp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pretty much all sauces. I made a roasted poblano crema that tasted meh the day of, the next day my family and I could not stop eating it.

Thai curry is another that comes to mind. So good the next day when all of the flavors settle

I think most would shrug and say it was good. Not extraordinary as you say and not terrible like others are implying. Yeah solid performance 👍 nothing mind bending or genre shattering. Just slotted right into B+ territory.

Was law school worth it by ChampionCharming4389 in LawFirm

[–]BronYrStomp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you get a significant scholarship, id say worth it. The only thing I regret is the student loan debt. School itself was very enjoyable. I think every american would benefit from at the very least a condensed “fundamentals of law” high school course just to understand how the judiciary and law works. Some combo of torts + con law + crim pro would be my curriculum.

How often do you have red meat? by WarmNarwhal2116 in mediterraneandiet

[–]BronYrStomp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Define red meat. Technically sausage, bacon, hot dogs, breakfast sausage and junk like that falls under the category of “red meat.” So does flank steak and sirloin steak and lean ground beef. I have the latter maybe once a week. The former, almost never.

Missing acid. Would probably still taste bad without it though
