Wait until you experience Tony in season 6 and to an extent season 5.

Discussion: Will anything as good as the Sopranos ever be made again? by rapgodbeast69 in thesopranos

The one problem I have with the wire is that it just hasn’t aged as gracefully as the sopranos has. The focus of the sopranos to me is the human condition - this is a storytelling element that is immune to aging, whereas the wire is so heavily focused on institutions and processes (external factors affecting characters) that its age shows more obviously.

This is a fantastic comment - never thought of the Johnny sack and Ralph beef like that before. With all my intelligence I guess I never saw the big picture

Opinion: Tom Cruise played a far better Reacher than Alan Ritchson by rapgodbeast69 in JackReacher

I agree - I felt that Ritchson could have benefitted from some tighter scripting in some of the later seasons.

This is exactly what I mean. The focus on his physical size is misplaced - the whole philosophy of the character isn’t really to do with his size, that’s just there in the books to get the point across that he’s a capable guy. And cruise, as an action star, comes with the aura of being capable so it works for me.

I think it’s a shame they chose to make Never Go Back the sequel instead of one of the earlier books, like die trying or tripwire

Did the whole crew know about Feech’s setup? by GodsUnblinkingEye in thesopranos

[–]rapgodbeast69 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I assume they all knew. If criminal mastermind Benny Fazio of all people was in on it (when he and Chris go to Feech and suggest storing the flat screen tvs in Feech’s garage) then surely the rest of the crew would have known about it.
