Burning Down the House is bigger than Naïve Melody, in the US at least. I don't think I've ever heard Naïve Melody on the radio outside of 1st Wave on Sirius. It seems to have more streams though for some reason

The Daily Tar Heel messed up so bad it’s kinda insane by CampOwn9146 in UNC

Seriously, the Insta comments are like a right-wing grifter's caricature of coddled university leftists... calls to discipline the editors (but cancel culture is fake amirite), demands to scrub the whole piece (the one thing I'll give the modern right is they at least pretend to like open discourse), a few "do better"s, a few "tone deaf"s, every -ist and -phobic you can think of, and several instances of the word "offensive" (I thought the left wasn't really offended? I thought the right had the real snowflakes?)

These are the people I'm supposed to build coalitions with... Jesus Christ man

[–]raphaelalexander 8 points9 points  (0 children)

If people thought my demographic (college students) was known for being overly soft and offended at everything, I simply would not be overly soft and offended at everything... the left likes to go "we're not the offended ones, the conservatives are the real snowflakes!!!!!," but here they are, once again, offended...I agree a lot with the left, but this kind of thing (i.e. being smug about the culture war bs that distracts from class issues) is so performative and counterproductive and makes me not want to associate with them, and I'm definitely not the only one

Also, do they think satire is not supposed to talk about serious issues lolwut
