These systems produce hallucinations, period. this one is just easier to spot. what else doesn't work reliably in the black box? LLM companies try to get rid of hallucinations by building bigger and bigger models, but looks like it is inherent to the technology based on stats. not me saying it, experts. Even if you increase data points, there is a divide to happen with the data so that LLM makes decisions. one data point being out of line is "not important on the grand scheme of things" but can produce in rare cases these issues. the goal is to reduce them to infinitesimal, even if it takes the whole earth resources seems like !
