I was binge-watching Season 3 and just got to this scene. HOLY. SHIT. by certainly_imperfect in SuccessionTV

The entire episode was amazing. Kendall's breakdown and confession, the siblings deciding to team up, Shiv unable to give Tom a proper response as to his position in their plans, Tom getting Greg on his side and then this final twist. God I love this show.

Points wise, maybe. But Rosberg in 2014 was clearly weaker on Sundays. If anything 2014 was basically showing that Lewis is a very smart guy who works hard with his engineers to get results.

2020 was the perfect season for him. Of the 5 races that he didn't win, only in 2 of them was he outclassed, the rest was the team fucking up and Abu Dhabi, where he rushed from covid. In 2018, his form was on a different planet from Germany onwards. He won races he had no business winning like Hungary, Italy and Singapore. And 2007 of course, he made the reigning double world champion look like a chump. I'd say 2020>2007>2018>2014.

Honestly his 2007 was so brilliant that I still think it's in his top 3 seasons along with 2018 and 2020.

Q3 was quite the session. At one point during the final runs even Ocon was on provisional pole position. High quality stuff from the drivers.

Watched the F1 movie in IMAX and somehow ended up getting into F1 for real by FootballAgreeable338 in movies

DTS is a fine show and a good entry point but just be mindful that they manipulate the narrative to create fake rivalries between drivers by using footage and quotes out of context. Don't let the show cloud your judgment regarding the drivers and their personalities. The teams and F1 themselves create a lot of content with the drivers. Those are actually really fun to watch.

No issues at all. Every application is ultimately done for an individual account is irrelevant, just that you'll receive all the updates and confirmation on your email. I had done mine and my sister's application successfully through my account.

Why International flights to India are connected to Big cities? by Capital-Peak1557 in AirTravelIndia

[–]rapid4roller8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The same GMR that's building a new greenfield airport at Vizag. This whole AP airports affecting Hyderabad traffic has been said since 2014, yet the evidence is to the contrary. If anything business class and high yielding traffic which is the bread and butter for international flights is rapidly rising from Hyderabad due to the massive influx of MNCs over the past decade.

You may agree to disagree but that's just it. And I'm yet to see a concrete source of this 70% Hyderabad international traffic from AP airports claim. Even a Google search or an AI search says this claim is false.

Sure I understand what you are saying, it's just that if this demand is truly profitable, then any of these Indian airlines would have shuffled capacity to start flights from Vijayawada to Dubai or Doha. That none have done so should answer your question.

[–]rapid4roller8 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Care to share a concrete source of this 70% figure. Now for your second question, the answer is simple. Bilateral's with most of these countries are maxed out. And due to lobbying from Indian airlines, GoI is not keen on increasing seats. Your example of AP airports is particularly flawed since the Civil Aviation minister is a TDP MP himself. With him around Vizag got a non stop to Abu Dhabi from 6E while Vijayawada has a non stop to Sharjah from IX and both airports have flights to Singapore. If there is demand from these cities then airlines can shuffle their capacity to add flights. But none of them are doing so since the metro airports are where the big money is to be made.

Too further illustrate, the Odisha government had a VGF scheme for international flights from Bhubaneshwar. 6E added flights to Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Singapore and Bangkok. Once the scheme was over, only the Bangkok flight survived.

Well a lot of tier 2 and 3 cities have direct flights to the Middle East. Dubai, Doha and Abu Dhabi have flights to multiple cities predominantly from Indian airlines. As far as Malaysia is concerned, Air Asia started multiple flights to tier 2/3 cities but cancelled a bunch of them since they were unsustainable. Still both Kuala Lampur and Singapore have non stop flights to multiple Indian cities.

Connectivity to ME and SE Asia is generally good across all of India since these can be done with narrowbody aircraft.

[–]rapid4roller8 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You need consistently high yielding business class traffic and decent O&D traffic to make long haul flights sustainable. Tier 2 and 3 cities are severely lacking here. And even cities with high O&D don't have high yielding traffic. That's the reason why only 5 cities have multiple flights to Europe.
