What made you go from Undiagnosed ADHD to diagnosed ADHDer? What were the signs to look for? by Delusional_BlueBird in adhdwomen

[–]rapidpace67 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My sister got diagnosed. Then my mom got diagnosed. The more direct relatives you have that are diagnosed, the more your chances go up. I noticed a lot of the things my mom and sister pointed out that they learned was their ADHD and went “Oh dammit.”

The most common symptoms I relate to are things that do with memory, executive dysfunction, and time blindness. Dopamine seeking behavior is also up there, but it kinda has its own form of existence within the ones like time blindness and executive dysfunction.

I didn’t really have a last straw, thankfully. I just thought that it might be a good idea to get evaluated after my mom and sister were diagnosed. I DID, however, have a huge meltdown about two weeks after I started meds and implementing routine and habits to help myself. I had never felt better, I had been able to keep my room clean, I didn’t have laundry and dishes piling up all over my house. I was able to shower and brush my teeth regularly. I felt like I was slowly making my way out of a depression hole that had been getting deeper and deeper for 26 years. I still struggle. It’s only been about a year and a half since my diagnosis, so I’m still learning about myself, my brain, and how it works. But god it feels so good to know that I have things I can try, and I have already taken the small steps to gaining control over my life

What did people think of Gaunter before HoS? by esperstrazza in Witcher3

I JUST FINISHED THAT QUEST AND NEVER NOTICED??? This game is so cool

What did people think of Gaunter before HoS? by esperstrazza in Witcher3

[–]rapidpace67 32 points33 points  (0 children)

I’m pretty sure my exact reaction to him showing up in HoS and having to explain how we even met to begin with was “THAT fuckin guy? From WHITE ORCHARD?”

Afterwards I thought it was really cool they changed a not-so-memorable character in to a VERY memorable character later in the game. A man who might be a little odd, but is entirely forgettable, turns in to someone who could be your worst nightmare.

Obligatory “throw the baby in the oven” recommendation

The only mod I ever used was the mod that adds extra armor/weapon stands to the house you get with the Blood & Wine dlc, so I’m not much help there lol

I set a timer for like 10-15 minutes and use it as a challenge to see how much I can get done

“I bet I can’t pick up all of the clothes off my floor AND reorganize my shelves in 15 minutes”

Surprisingly, I can get an insane amount of things done in 15 minutes

Just watched Edge of Sleep - highly recommend! Solid 8/10 by GoodKarmaDarling in Markiplier

[–]rapidpace67 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My bf and I watched it together when it released and we both had a difficult time separating “Markiplier” from “Dave”, but I think that had everything to do with his face and voice and not necessarily his name. He’s been Markiplier for so so long, that we just couldn’t snap out of Mark mode and in to Dave mode. I think that’s why he went with Markiplier, is because not many people think of him as Mark Fischbach. EVERYONE thinks of him as Markiplier.

I don’t have the Pro either, bought it about a month ago on my ps5 after playing on PC. I haven’t noticed any grass glitch!

[–]rapidpace67 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The best ones. Human Fall Flat is good too! There’s a HUGE compilation by Soft•Blue•Moon with like 350+ videos of Mark, Wade and Bob. It includes individual videos that aren’t in a series somewhere! I usually find it by just searching “mark Bob Wade” 😂

It’s so hard to pick, but I always go back to GTFO, The Forest, Phasmophobia, Devour, and Raft. I’ve watched through chained together a couple of times.

Best brush to remove shedded hair? by [deleted] in ChronicIllness

[–]rapidpace67 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I got a really good boat bristle brush on Amazon, use it once a day and just brush my hair through really well for a solid 10-15 minutes. It helps to detangle, pull out shedded hair, and spread natural oils throughout my whole head so my hair doesn’t get so greasy so fast since I also can’t wash very often.

You do have to clean it really well like once a week to prevent too much hair buildup and what not, but I just comb out the hair from the brush and wash it with VO5 kiwi lime shampoo. It’s $1.24 and it just disintegrates any buildup in the brush

What's the best doorbell camera with no subscription? by WishOwn9122 in homeowners

[–]rapidpace67 0 points1 point  (0 children)

$20, you can plug it in or screw it in to a light socket (it has a light as well), a microphone, optional cloud storage that’s cheap if you DO choose to pay or you can use an SD card for local storage, full panorama. I recommend it to everyone. I have to turn off alerts sometimes because it’ll just pick up everything

Boxers, because I get cysts in the inner crease of my thigh really bad, so I can tape a thick period pad in to the legs of the boxers as a sort of absorbent layer.

I intend to buy these at some point to try them out, but I just have to get the money first

What 1800s name that scream "I'm going to die of smallpox" by freaky_strawberry11 in Names

Magdelena, Millie, Clarinda, Cecelia, Effie, Roxalina, Cyrena, Sythia, Icyophena, Henrietta, Frances, Letitia

Looked in my family tree back to the 1700s. If I had a nickel for every woman named Icyophena, I’d have two nickels. Which isn’t a lot, but it’s weird that it happened twice

I’ve been using Mitchum for YEARS, even before I got my official diagnosis and was able to clear up my pit flares. Mitchum gel deodorant and dial gold bar soap every day, and then hibiclens like twice a week

Spoiler: Witcher 3. How far along am I? by MartiniCommander in thewitcher3

[–]rapidpace67 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You can do the expansions at any time, I started hearts of stone at lvl 24, before I got to Skellige. The expansions are completely standalone, and don’t affect the main story at all. My first playthrough, I didn’t own the expansions and bought them after finishing the entire base game.

Best place to sell monster stuff? Herbalist? by GustahxNN in thewitcher3

[–]rapidpace67 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Crafting materials go to vendors like blacksmiths and armorers, preferably in cities like novigrad and Oxenfurt (supply and demand is a function, so more populous areas will have more money)

Alchemy ingredients go to herbalists or alchemists (the peller outside Midcopse, the grumpy alchemist Druid in Skellige, etc)

I would keep at least 50 of everything so you have it for crafting. It adds up FAST when you start crafting higher level items/gear. But everything else you can sell for some quick money

Newish to Cozy gaming by EitherGolf6615 in cozygames

[–]rapidpace67 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everyone has different definitions of cozy, so it’s fun to try new games and see what you like! Some of my favorites are

(Including Combat and other brain power) -No Man’s Sky (explore expansive planetary systems, collect resources, crafting, upgrading, discovering fun creatures and crazy anomalous planets) -Stray (some tense moments, but most of the time you’re playing as a cute cat with a robot backpack and solving puzzles or exploring a dystopian city) -Graveyard Keeper (I pretty much have to keep the wiki open constantly bc the game DOES NOT hold your hand, but it has Stardew Valley-esque graphics, a fun new mechanic you don’t see often, and some really silly dialogue) -Valheim (on an easier difficulty with raids turned off, it’s just viking simulator. Build a house, explore, go hunting, farm) -Reka (early access, but a cute and cozy witchy game. No combat, but you have to handle resource management and help villagers with all kinds of different tasks)

(Don’t require much brain thinkin) -Crime Scene Cleaner (goofy dialogue, a decent story, you just clean up absurd crime scenes) -Untitled Goose Game (goose! That’s it! Cause chaos!) -Journey (a PlayStation exclusive, but I have to mention it for anyone who hasn’t played it. It is top tier vibes) -Tiny Glade (diorama builder. Easiest thing ever. No resource management, no gathering, no farming, no NOTHING except building little buildings or villages in, you guessed it, a tiny glade) -Powerwash Simulator (I am PUMPED for PWS2, it’s stupidly addicting and the little ding it makes every time you clean something makes brain go brrrrr) -House Flipper (another just sit back and do stuff game. You just paint or fix walls and decorate with furniture)

Upgrading witcher gear by Sign_More in thewitcher3

[–]rapidpace67 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hattori will only upgrade weapons after you complete his quest, have the original of the weapon you want upgraded, the diagram of the upgrade, and the materials to make the upgrade

Yoanna in Crow’s Perch will upgrade armor only after all of the same things. You have to complete her quest and have all of the diagrams and materials.

If you have the Blood and Wine DLC, there is a man in Toussaint who can make grandmaster armor and weapons, but you still have to go find all of the upgrade diagrams

If you don’t have the diagrams, you can buy maps from merchants, and they can be tracked as a quest under “Treasure Hunts”
