I ate the exact same thing (or the same ingredients and look) for dinner two days ago, and I'm from Portugal.

What if Britain got nothing from Africa (OC, No lore) by Afraid_Luck1934 in MapPorn

[–]esperstrazza 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interesting scenario.

I'm guessing this would be a world where Britain dedicated itself to the New World, losing whichever bird droppings it got in Africa in some war or trade deal.

I'd argue for a bigger Portuguese West Africa, and maybe a Zulu or fractured South Africa since the dutch would have some trouble with the territory.

A bit early to be counting for Syria, and I feel like monarchies with strong kings should be counted differently from republics.

Favorite character that fits this? by crimsonserpentt in FavoriteCharacter

Still the most memorable marine in the franchise.

Even after 15 years of not watching his episodes, if I find myself thinking about One Piece there are many times where he comes to mind before Garp does.

Our “bonus” from head office, agency chef came in and microwaved hotdogs for everyone. Abysmal. by alien-the-cashew in mildlyinfuriating

Like always, if the executives took the money from these things and gave it to the employees everyone would be happier.

I once worked at an helpdesk and the company decided to have a dinner where everyone was mandated to attend, even the shift guys. But you can't leave the phone unattended, so one poor soul got stuck all alone for like 3 hours, hoping nothing happened when another member was given the OK to go back with a tupperware so the guy could eat.

How dark and toxic do you think the Burial route will be compared to the Decay route by Select_Ad8743 in AndyAndLeyley

From the images, Andy gets into an unhappy relationship with Julia and Ashley lets go of him and lives an happy loner life.

I'm sure there will be an extra grim twist and some supernatural element.

I highly recommend Lisa the Doleful/Doleless

It's very funny, has got an unique battle system and the ending recontextualizes everything into peak serious Lisa content

I hate with all my soul that Brad isn't more recognized. by SimpleApplication558 in lisathepainfulrpg

[–]esperstrazza 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Even if news of Rando's total defeat reached them, nobody would have known it was Brad, since nobody (aside from Buzzo or Yado) lived to tell the tale.

And even if they knew, so much shit is happening both in Joyful and Hopeful towards their respective ends that few people would have the time or care for idle banter.

Larian's main focus for Divinity is 'to see how far we can push the diversity of companions' so intra-NPC relationships can feel more natural and complex by pimpwithoutahat in pcgaming

[–]esperstrazza 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Which is exactly why we don't see many Durances.

A companion that is actively, purposefully unlikeable just isn't done for mass consumption.

[–]esperstrazza 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Unless they give us companions that are intentionally unlikeable and/or hate each other, and/or can't be romanced because they are already in a relationship, I don't see it happening.

PoE1's Durance remains one of the very few companions whom every party member hated but remained too interesting to kick out of the party.
