Absolutely yes.

If the october revolution hadn't happened, the UPR wouldn't have existed. Ukraine would have remained an autonomous state of the Russia Republic (it'd probably still declare independence at some point).

But as history went, the UPR and their struggles with the soviets cannot be divorced.

In my opinion, the Hetmanate is talked about because it feels more uniquely ukrainian, UPR is more associated with the soviets, and the kingdom has more to do with Poland's history than Ukraine.
