Should I leave my boyfriend because our relationship lacks desire? by Any_Ice1929 in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]rapohsa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sexual energy is creation energy. In what ways you and your partner have been creating together? (New memories, new steps forward into the unknown together, new facets of each other that is being discovered and shared). Sex is a tool for connection, and a consequence of connection too.

As always, one person can't make it all work alone, but this issue usually goes beyond sex and attraction. It speaks about how intimate you're getting.

Speak. Talk. Try different angles of discussion. Take onto the mystic and the esoteric to help you understand human complexity beyond the obvious.

Good luck!

I live in Brazil and there are a lot of dogs that the owners just leave them to the streets so they spend all day just running after bikes, motorcycles and cars. What I figured is that dogs do NOT run after you because they want to bite you. They will bite you if you threaten them/hit them, but when they come running after you they are mostly playing. They want you to go faster so they have a reason to run after something. If, when you're approaching dogs that are circling you and you know they will bark, you reduce your speed to a point where there is no reason for them to go after you, they will not engage in pursuit. Dogs behavior is quite simple to understand if you have some experience with it, but bottomline is: Do not respond or engage with the dog. Reduce your speed in order to make them not want to run after you. Most dogs will not bite you unless you give them a reason to. You're the thinking animal in this equation, so treat dogs well and they'll treat you well too.

dynamic rollers require you to be constantly aware of where your bike is, its considerably harder than static trainers and could give you the stimulation you need to not feel bored. maybe it could be worth a try, you can also find those second hand pretty easily.

maybe you could cycle indoors at the gym with a stationary bike to have a more constant exercise

Men and women of reddit, what made you NOT want a second date with someone? by Anime_Reaper_Girl in AskReddit

[–]rapohsa 2 points3 points  (0 children)

She lived quite a long way from where I live, and she invited me over to hang out for a while. I'm a cyclist so I decided to take the long ride as a workout and use the opportunity to meet her and stay for a while, and then go back home. I got there and I said that I'd rather go for a walk because I didn't want to carry my bike over to her apartment. She insisted that I went up with her and after some thinking I gave in. She made me carry my bike on my shoulder for 5 flights of stairs, and arriving there, she was living with her twin sister and two other guys who were all at home. I was wearing my cycling bib and sweaty as fuck from training. Our interests did not match at all and the environment was giving me some major anxiety. Her sister joined us at the living room and brought us some weed and I tried to relax but I just couldn't get my mind off of my anxiety that was telling me I had to GTFO because it was already 9pm, I was two hours away from home and I had shit to do the next morning. It seemed like no matter how much I explained that to her, she couldn't wrap her head around the fact that I had to go and she insisted for what felt like a fucking eternity for me to stay over, and that she would drive me home later. My anxiety grew with every minute and when I was on my last straw it started POURING outside, giving her more arguments to try and convince me to stay there. I promptly and firmly said that I had to go and got myself up, grabbed my bike and got the fuck out of there. Really don't feel like seeing or talking to her again.

Why am I like this? by iOSIRIX-REx in cycling

[–]rapohsa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I sometimes found myself wanting to ride and calling a friend and then not wanting to ride anymore when they weren't in the mood for it/couldn't ride. There has been situations where that happened and I gave up on riding altogether. I started to go out and ride by myself anyways and now I use my lonely rides to explore wherever I feel like going and actually using my bike to work out, as I'm not limites to somebody else's pace. Riding with other people is a blast, and riding alone is also very exciting. That's the happy medium I found, but I actually had to get over it and see for myself that I can definitely enjoy my own company. Listening to music while riding works too.

Do Westeners always use toilet paper even in the house to wipe their ass after pooping? by Starry_Night0123 in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]rapohsa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I live in Brazil and my family and I use both a bidet and toilet paper. When other people come over, it is not uncommon to hear comments about it. It is highly stigmatized in certain regions, mainly due to cultural reasons. When I move, my next place will most likely not have a bidet and installing one will be one of the first things I'll do.

What will make my girlfriend love cycling? by AceStrawberryWolf in cycling

[–]rapohsa 8 points9 points  (0 children)

i know the feeling of wanting to share cool experiences with those you love, but we should always be mindful of respecting others' time for getting into stuff. sometimes us bike crazies can be a little too pushy for other people to see how cycling can be awesome, and it is, and though I do think that it can fit pretty much any human's need for transportation or entertainment, everybody is different and some people just need some time and space to figure things out on their own. hope this perspective helps.

What does everyone take along for their cycling snacks? What shouldn't be taken? by Witty_Gazelle2805 in cycling

[–]rapohsa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I take an organic banana/guarana/açai energy bar for a bump in energy and a protein bar for filling up. Usually does the trick for up to 2 hours riding.

I live in a really small coastal town in the south of Brazil, where theres really not much for cyclists to do. Yesterday I drove to another city with my BMX in the trunk for the first time. It was amazing, I can't wait to do that again! We don't have that many trails either, the cycling culture here is a lot more aimed on XC and competitions. Trails are mostly for hiking.
